And that’s a wrap on the 2026 @ara_rally National Season! 🏁

Last year, I got a call from @subarumotorsportsusa. They didn’t need another photographer, they needed a social media producer. Something I hadn’t really done before. So I traded my camera for an iPhone and figured it out as I went.

Turns out, chasing down clips and interviews with @travispastrana, @rhianongelsomino, @connermartell21 and @ross_whittock while this crew battled it out all season is a pretty damn fun job. Huge thanks to everyone at @vermont.sportscar for bringing me along for the ride and letting me be part of it!

Here’s a little sizzle reel of some of my favorite action clips from the season. Already crossing my fingers for 2027 and another year chasing these wild scenes with @matthew.stryker and @teef.fpv. 🤞

Some quick snaps I got while witnessing something truly special: The first U.S. run of a Rally1 car, with @kallerovanpera driving the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1. 🇺🇸🏁

Rally1 regulations debuted in 2022 and will conclude at the end of the 2026 season, making this an even more memorable moment in rally history. Seeing one of these incredible machines run in person was unforgettable while being a perfect way to celebrate the end of an era before the new WRC27 regulations begin in 2027. Good luck to all those competing @rallyitaliasardegna

Five years ago today, I took a detour to the Salt Flats in a sketchy rental van and randomly ran into two strangers, @ian.doce and @thequanandonly_, at a pullout.

Those two jokers quickly became close friends and introduced me to the @overcrestproductions crew. Since then, I’ve crossed the country twice for five events. My first was in 2022, when I drove my 31-year-old Subaru from Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Oregon, learning how to rev-match and, honestly, how to drive stick along the way.

Since then, I’ve made friends all over the country, put a whole lot more miles on that old Subaru, and collected way too many good stories along the way.

Here’s to the next adventure and wherever the next five years take us.

I spent time with fifth-generation Black farmer P.J. Haynie III and his family for this story by Kali Holloway in The New Republic.

Black farmers have faced more than a century of discriminatory lending, land loss, and unequal access to federal resources. Today, those struggles continue as programs intended to address that history are being dismantled.

This story looks at what that history means for Black farmers fighting to keep their land and build a future for the next generation.

This past weekend, we laid to rest my grandmother Barbara. To me, she was Nannie. She now lays eternally with my grandfather John (Papa) and my uncle John (Chip).

She was, without a doubt, one of the strongest, most unflinching women this world has ever seen. From civil rights, to building libraries to empower generations, to showing me the beautiful marriage she shared with my grandfather, or turning every occasion into a fashion show.

I can now visit three of the most impactful people in one place.

This weekend, I laughed, cried, and learned more about all those I love. I know they knew they were loved and are missed.

Tell those you love you love them. Don’t wait for the perfect time. Make time to see your friends. Make those memories you will hold on to forever.

When you get a call from @npr to go to a Kei car meet you know your going to have a fun day! Here are few of my favorite images. Many we spoke were surprised when the President of United States recently comments on Kei cars, “They’re very small, they’re really cute, and I said, ‘How would that do in this country? Then went on to say, “We’re not allowed to make them in this country, and I think you’re going to do very well with those cars, so we’re going to approve those cars,” Trump told reporters.
