We had a fabulous weekend in Ticonderoga, NY, at the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour for the dedication of their new Shuttlecraft Galileo exhibit. Along with their museum-quality, full-scale replica of all the original Enterprise standing sets from the original Star Trek, the addition of the original, authentic shuttlecraft mockup makes the set tour even more of a must-do. Go! Now! by @michaelokuda

Waaay back when we built the TOS-style bridge replica for the Enterprise episode, "In a Mirror, Darkly," I tried an experiment. I asked Alan Kobayashi to make hundreds of small, clear labels, each with a numeric code. Alan put those stickers on all the buttons on the Defiant bridge. I was surprised to learn that those labels were virtually invisible on camera, even in high definition. (Check out the episode for yourself.) I therefore theorize that those buttons could have been labeled, and you'd not have seen them in the original series. Here's an extreme closeup of one such button. (And happy belated birthday, Alan!) by @michaelokuda
