Not as many RC projects as I thought this year, I guess I mostly worked on bicycle projects, but I did a few cool things, notably the #tamiyabbx buggy, the #tamiyaftog with “dune ranger “ body from @revivercdesigns , the no buck bug (built entirely from my parts bin). And finally got a proper set of wheels on my lancia stratos. Oh, and I almost finished the classic tamiya Nissan group c kit from 1992. #tamiyasandscorcher #vintagetamiya #tamiyarc by @michaelplatypuss1

Half a century today! The past few decades just flew by, suddenly everything I own is “vintage”. 😂 as much as I enjoy reminiscing about the 80s and 90s on here, I have no desire to be a teenager again, having no idea how I was going to make a living as an artist, or what exactly I was going to do with myself. Thankfully I found a path to happiness, and I also really appreciate all the friends I made here on instagram just sharing my hobbies and work. You guys are all awesome. by @michaelplatypuss1

I’ve been building this fully modernized 1988 Schwinn sierra. This is a full chrome moly frame made in Japan the “giant” facility. I chose it because of the chrome plating lower half, since I planned on using polished stainless for the disc brake mounts. Current weight is 28.6 pounds, but I plan on chipping away at that with future upgrades. The handlebars are 31 inches wide and are made from a set of drop bars. A purple anodized cartridge bearing headset is on the way. #vintagemtb #restomodbicycle #restomodbike #vintagebicycle #fullrigidmtb by @michaelplatypuss1

Another day at the office at @fabulousfurniture I built a polished stainless steel flamingo that should last a thousand years or so.😂 the eyes are 62 studebaker, the beak is 57 Chevy, the feet are fire extinguisher handles, the tail feather light is 56 desoto. The wings are solid stainless from an industrial mixer, and the body was a BBQ grille. #metalsculpture #stainlesssteel #outdoorart #birdsculpture #flamingo by @michaelplatypuss1

Sorry I have not been on here much, I’ve been busy setting up the new house, particularly the display room, so many glass shelves and display cases to position and windex. 😂 I’m really tired of cleaning glass! The majority of the collection is still in storage, but I have been bringing it in slowly. The dogs love it here, and I finally have a clean dry place to store my bikes. 😁#modelcarcollector #modelbuilding #scalemodel #rccarcollection #scalemodelcars by @michaelplatypuss1

Moved my paint collection into the new house. Many of the cans date back to the very early 90s😂 #modelcarbuilding #tamiyapaints #testorspaint #modelbuilding by @michaelplatypuss1

We finally found a new place! Just five minutes from where I work, it took us a few months to find someplace that would take dogs 🐕 that we actually could afford, (the entire time every body yelling at me to stop being so picky and grab whatever I can get!🤔) This place also sits on a large property with our own private beach! We will have so much fun exploring with the dogs here. The house was built in the 1840s and served as a post office and even a toll booth! 😮the 900 square foot deck is all ours as well.😁 so needless to say I will be busy moving in the coming weeks. by @michaelplatypuss1

Another great ride with childhood friends on Saturday. Nothing better than hanging out with guys you have known since grade school. the tamiya wild one belongs to my buddy Jeff. #bmx #bmxforlife #mongoose #oldschoolbmx #genx #bmxoldschool by @michaelplatypuss1

More stuff heading to the storage unit, still have not found a new place yet, we keep getting ignored and rejected.😂 luckily the current landlord is being cool about us needing more time.😅 #modelcollecting #scalemodels #modelbuilder #modelcars #modelkit #scalemodelkits #modelcarcollection by @michaelplatypuss1
