Hard to believe it’s been 19 years since I put up that number against the Utah Jazz.

I remember just about every bucket from that night. But I remember losing more than anything.

That’s why when people ask me if that was my favorite game ever, I tell them the hard truth: Nope.

Gil had a 60 spot that season. Kobe had a couple of 60s that year. Otherwise, I had the league-high in 2006-07. I just wish I could properly celebrate it.

My favorite career wasn’t 57 against the Jazz, it was 45 (and a W) against Kobe.

I recently sat down to record a full 40 minute video breaking down every play of that November, 2006, game. In essence, though, it all boils down to something I said:

“The people you respect the most are the people you want to destroy the most.”

Since golf is on fire right now...

Golf’s been one of the best things to ever happen to me, and I almost never gave it a shot.

Right after my rookie year with the Bucks, Ray Allen dragged me out there. Said come play, so I said alright, even though I didn’t know anything about it. Straight hip hop, long white tee, baggy jeans, no etiquette whatsoever. I spent that whole day just digging graves. Tore that course all the way up.

Then one of em came off the club pure. That was all she wrote. Been hooked 25 years now. by @michaelredd

Was out in SoCal for a conference (shout out my brother @jchillington), and I wasn’t about to leave without getting a quick round in.

Ended up in a group with Shawn Green, Zach LaVine (and Tim). I did my part keeping the grounds crew busy 😂

Shawn’s an MLB legend. 328 homers and more than 2,000 hits. Then he retires and builds Greenfly, which just about every team and athlete in sports runs their content through now.

Zach I apparently already knew. Come to find out we crossed paths when he was a kid (still can’t get over that). He’s a grown man now, a father, two-time All-Star, and he can really play some golf. (Who knew?!)

Two guys with incredible careers and they still let me tag along.

Wasn’t sure what to expect when I started posting more regularly on social media this year, and this week caught me off guard.

A tweet about Wemby and the marketing game got some traction, people seemed to appreciate the conversation, and then a “re-introduction” post took off too. Twitter “following” grew about 300% in a few days, which I had to read twice when I saw it.

All of this happened, by the way, while I was en route to Ireland for a bucket list golf trip. So I’m somewhere over the Atlantic watching my phone battery drain from notifications and trying to figure out what’s going on. (Still not sure I fully have. 😂)

What I do know is that a lot of people want to talk sports, business, and the business of sports and I want to be worth their time. That I take seriously.

So thank you. Really humbled you found me. by @michaelredd
