One of the most beautiful achievements of my life turns 11 today. 🤍

Watching this report by Jeem TV made me cry, smile, and feel a pride beyond words. 🤍

Seeing her laugh, learn, play, face challenges, and compete with courage reminded me how these moments shape confidence, character, and the person she is becoming.

Jade, you are a princess not by name, but by your kindness, your heart, and the way you treat those around you. 🤍

And I hope that whenever life feels big or scary, you remember moments like this, moments where you believed in yourself, stayed strong and learned to trust your own heart.

The recent news surrounding Nazareth School in Achrafieh brought me back to this icon and the message written on the back of it almost 27 years ago.

I am a Nazareth alumna from the North of Lebanon. At our graduation, there was no big ceremony, just a simple Mass celebrated by our beloved Sister Samira Alwan.

At the end, she gave each of us this icon of the Holy Family, with a message to carry with us into life.

And I did.

The 3 S’s of Nazareth — Simplicity, Service and Strength — became much more than words. They became part of the foundation I carried with me through life: humility, love, forgiveness, resilience and faith.

Through the years, through work, responsibilities, challenges and difficult moments, I have realized how much these values have guided me and given me strength.

Nazareth didn’t just teach me Christian values. It taught me to live them. To choose forgiveness, even when it isn’t easy. To love and serve. To remain humble. To get back up when life gets hard and to hold on to my faith. To look to Jesus, Mary and Joseph in Nazareth as an example not only of what to believe, but of how to live.

This is what Nazareth gave me; not only an education, but roots, faith and values that I have carried with me through life.

And this is why what is happening today touches me so deeply.

A special word for Sister Samira; almost 27 years later, I still have the icon you placed in my hands and the words you wrote for us.

Thank you for planting seeds of faith and values so many years ago, without knowing how deeply they would take root and how often I would return to them throughout my life. 🤍

My prayers are with all the Sisters of Nazareth those who remain and all those who came before them. Their numbers may be smaller today, but the lives they have touched span generations.

This mission is too precious to be lost. It deserves to live on.

May Our Lady of Nazareth protect the Sisters, our beloved school and its mission.
