macey gathered all the chinese baddies for this project (don’t they look like the coolest family?)

getting in touch with my heritage is something i’m continuously exploring and i’d be lying if i said this project didn’t intimidate me at first. what does it even mean to be chinese? am i chinese enough? a lot of imposter syndrome to be had, but the people i met this day were so open, warm, and held a sense of pride for being chinese that made me feel at ease. i don’t need to prove my heritage to anyone, and i could just enjoy this day for what it was, a beautiful gathering and celebration of our culture and community.

thank you macey for entrusting me with styling your vision and tina for opening your amazing home to us. the energy exchanged that day was magical and healing. i love my chinese baddies🧡

Man is the monster. Literally and metaphorically. They’re so horrendous that women would rather fantasize about falling in love with literal monsters. Traditionally, an “ugly” and “scary”creature finds love and redemption with a beautiful, compassionate, human woman. She falls in love and accepts him wholly; flaws, deformities, and all. But why can’t women be the creatures? She deserves to find her prince in peril despite her imperfections and monstrous appearance. She deserves to be worshipped, yearned for, and placed on a pedestal. Inspired by old horror/sci-fi movie posters and modern monster romance, this is a reversal of the “beauty and the beast” love story
