Goodnight brilliant one. It was an honor to have known and worked with you for the last ten years.

❤️

When I moved back to LA from NYC and knew virtually no one my friend Mary Overlie told me to look up Simone Forti. This link made me feel at home. Years later after Mary’s Six Viewpoints book was finally published I was to deliver a copy to Simone, which I finally did in 2023 when I was a Dance Constructions performer in Simone’s MOCA retrospective. Simone read the book so quickly and even quoted it at her opening. “I was reading a book by Mary Overlie and she was talking about how it’s good to know where you are in space, or wherever you are.”

Video I filmed of Simone adjusting Huddle during our rehearsals at MOCA in 2023

Last photo is one I took of Simone at the old Pieter Performance Space in Lincoln Heights in 2017
