Actor :. It’s not all pretty, it’s not all happy. Sometimes it’s sad, ugly, angry, terrified, animated, hopeful, excited, fearful , or magical.

I recently auditioned for an international fantasy production ( #TheWheelofTime ), that I was very excited and thankful to be considered for 🙏🏾, here’s a small part of many scenes.

I should have posted this on #monologuemondays #monologuemonday but it was a #castingcall really.

I didn't get cast, however, this experience added more fuel to my already burning Dede🔥!. We can only get better at our craft, if we are open and willing to explore all facets of whom we are, including the vulnerable side. We must never stop learning, as thus we grow.

I spent years doubting myself. Then I walked the long, often painful path towards working on loving myself. It was going well, till the internal struggle with the notion that it was shallow to put oneself before others as it's not what Jesus would do, kicked in. So I worked on striking a balance, yet the voice of doubt still lingered, reminding me of that belief. I stopped walking the self-love journey without realising it. I returned to my old ways of; putting myself last, family first, ngos/other causes first, friends, work, producers and even strangers needs first, (the empaths reading the above can relate on a level that others won't. Hi 👋🏽Empaths) but
"You Can't Pour From An Empty Cup", and my cup was practically empty.

2020 came along with a pandemic that did an inexplicable, life altering, number on us all. Creating a timely opportunity for self-reflection and growth. I used the lockdown to begin working on myself for myself,once again. It's been a daunting, wonderful, challenging, enlightening, fulfilling, ever evolving journey. One I'm🙏🏾 thankful for.

I am worthy! 3 words many people struggle with truly believing when they say them. Sadly, most people have never said those words to, or about themselves, ever.

I don't struggle with believing those vital words anymore. I know that I Am A Talented, Intelligent, Compassionate, Hardworking , Eloquent, Funny, Loving, Kind, Honest, Succesful, Goffy, Beautiful, Witty, Phenomenally Phenomenal, Rare Humanbeing, With Integrity.
I Am Worthy And I Was Born Worthy.
How do I know?, God told me so!

What Do You Believe About Yourself?
Do you have daily affirmations?
If you do, I hope you say them to yourself often?, daily if you can.
Don't have any affirmations?
Pray about it, meditate, talk to the universe about it if you aren't a religious person, or create some.
Write them down! Speak it, till you Believe it!

Yes, I still have days when I'm feeling more 😥 lthan 100%😁🦋, just like you have. However, my worth doesn't change on bad days. No matter how you feel today or tomorrow, make sure you never forget You Are Worthy Too!

August - September 2023 🎭

As actors, most of us don’t want to be typecast, and desire the opportunity to explore a diverse range of characters.

We don’t all get that opportunity, irrespective of how much we toil, pitch, network, pray, wish or work towards it.

When Nemsia offered me the character Ms Kanyin Smith in the then titled Ms Koi Koi, I was elated to play her and her alter ego, as well as thankful to finally be seen, as capable of delivering a character that wasn’t some of the stereotypical roles I’d been offered ad nauseam.

2 hour long applications of sfx makeup.
1 hour long removals, with skin scrubbed raw in the shower, and 16-18 hour long days spent in makeup filming, becoming ill on set and the nonstop overnight shoots, however mentally, physically, and emotionally toll taking they were didn’t diminish my desire to commit 110% to the production.

The effects on my body/ face, from the erratic weather conditions, giant Offa mosquitos (if you know you know ), stunts, laying, running, falling, rolling in the rained upon mud etc may have resulted in me getting malaria/typhoid and a 1 week hospital stay in Lagos. However, 2 years later, I’m truly grateful I got to play this accidental villain.

Last night for the premiere of #RemixNneoma .

Congratulations to the entire cast and crew, on making a film that not only tugged at our heartstrings, but also made us shout out loud at characters on our screen, as well as clap and cheer for kiss.

It was heartwarming, it was beautiful! and I’m going to see it again! So proud of @bikiyagd the producer.

Please go see it when it comes out in cinemas June 26th.
