It's strange... I remember exactly 10 years ago from today, one day after I turned 20, sitting in my bedroom in the house I had just bought, feeling like I had only 10 years ahead of me - and that was it. I was so worried and stressed. I'll never forget it. It felt like I needed to make the most of those years because I believed that the "boring" adult life awaited me as soon as I got close to my 30ts, both physically and emotionally. Looking back, I can't say I didn't live up to those 10 years. They have been filled with adventures, people and experiences that I'll cherish for the rest of my life. But also, goodness, was I wrong; life starts now - when you stop caring for unimportant things, when you feel secure with who you are, when you have financial stability to do things, when you trade alcohol and parties for early mornings, good dinners, and quality time with family. Turning 30 feels surreal because I'm not who I thought I would be, and I'm not where I thought I would be. It's so much better than I ever imagined.

I'm incredibly proud and grateful for the choices I made during my twenties that brought me to where I am today. From being a young, lost girl to now living my dream life as a woman, it's been an amazing journey. I want to thank all of you who were a part of my twenties in some way. I appreciate each one of you, whether you're still with me in my thirties or not. Perhaps our paths will cross again soon, or maybe you were meant to be just a small part and lesson in my life. I'm leaving my twenties with pride and stepping into my thirties with no expectations..

🤰🏼 Crazy how I used to see baby announcements and think that was so far off for me. But here I am, 30 years old, waiting for my baby to arrive in January— yet feeling like a teenage mom 🙃 Just a second ago, I was traveling the world with my best friends, without a plan, scared of the future, and now, six years later, I’m living my own version of the jungle book, far from where I grew up but closer than ever to my biggest dream. The greatest secret we've kept.. for 7 months (!) Can't wait to show you the entire world, little baby girl 🩷

I made it. We freaking made it. Watching my daughter ride the horses I worked so hard for. For so many years. Makes my so proud.

I remember so clearly. 2 years ago when I got the opportunity to become independent and do it all by myself. I was terrified. I had no idea where to start, and all my savings from all those years were about to be spent.

Just a couple of weeks into starting over, I got that + on the stick. Suddenly my whole world was growing inside me. My time was now limited. I had 9 months to build something that could carry us.

That little seed inside me became my biggest motivation. I worked until the very end. 9 months pregnant, lifting hay bales, calling, organizing, building, recovering horses… doing whatever it took.

And now here she is 🩷 connecting with the horses that aloud us to live this life

Sometimes I look at her and think… we really did this together 💌 @horizontehorse.st

Always missing someone, always missing a place.
It’s strange having your heart in so many different countries at once.
But I love that this is the kind of childhood she’ll have — growing up with different countries, cultures and languages just being part of everyday life.

My daughter doesn’t know this yet, but she changed the entire direction of my life. She arrived and suddenly every dream became bigger, every fear became deeper, and every reason to keep going had her face attached to it.
