☀️ as a kid i was always on vacation in another country or city for my birthday. i have so many memories from those exciting trips, but as the stress of adulthood took over i started feeling indifferent about my birthday. i felt guilty about spending money celebrating and acknowledging my birthday eventually felt like a chore. ✨ this year i turned 36 in Portugal and that birthday magic i felt when I was younger was palpable. i won’t let that slip away again. this was also my first trip abroad in 14 years(!!) your timelines will be flooded. stay tuned 💅🏾 by @michellemar.ques

pov: daddy visiting me at my new job ✨when I signed my dad into the museum his eyes beamed with so much joy. “You look good! Wow, you’re really on your way Michelle.” as I watched him take in the art through the lens of his endless curiosity, I think back to how far we’ve come since he witnessed the darkest two years of my life. throughout the struggle he never gave up on me. His unwavering love and support will always remind me to never give up on myself. I am so grateful he finally gets to see me thriving. 〰️ feeling inspired/motivated to commit to consistency in my writing practice. i’m tired of neglecting it while I pursue “stability”in an increasingly unstable world. my brother reminded me that i’m good at writing. i’ve put in my 10,000 hours. i’m just rusty and a perfectionist. i can’t let that paralyze me. even if i’ve fallen off before, today is the day. putting it out here so it becomes my reality. ✨that is all, enjoy the dump✨ by @michellemar.ques
