ariel? realizing i’m wearing a dress on a legit hike every photo we took worked we got to what we thought was the top and realized whoops we weren’t and the actual peak looked so far away. we felt good about what we did and we almost stopped where we were. but i kept casually walking toward the new mountain top and ultimately we pushed through. it had looked overwhelming and daunting but actually it was the easiest part. felt like such a beautiful illustration to keep-on-going and so glad we didn’t stop at 80% we made it to 💯 but first a sandwich bite a polish woman stopped us and sheepishly said ‘hi i was taking photo and video of you both, i can air drop them to you.’ actually precious. mountain man? shimmying down here and an older man approached and colin said ‘this way is quicker but it’s way steeper!’ and no pause no stopping the man replied ‘that’s alright, i was a mountain goat in a previous lifetime’ every photo worked by @michellerigsby

NZ and Australia trip takeaways: 1. i ate so much and never felt better 2. NZ smelled so good 3. one should really spend a month there if they are going to visit, so much to see 4. no one there is at all disturbed about the deadly spiders and snakes just traipsing thru their house, nary a care. 5. we didn’t see any spiders 6. they say how you going for how are you and an uber driver said that to me and i tried to tell him where we were going and clover was like mom get a clue 7. worth it by @michellerigsby
NZ and Australia trip takeaways: 1.more beautiful than my phone could even begin to try to capture and i stopped even trying 2. the animals were SO HAPPY 😭 3. we need to be saying cheers over here more 4. it is hard to travel with kids, that’s reality. we had a very sick kid and a canceled flight on this trip, everything in life comes with bumps and detours 5. it is helpful to see friends when we go somewhere, this is grounding for me when acclimating my senses. 6. hobbiton was my favorite 🥹 and i’m not even a lord of the rings fan but i’m about to be. by @michellerigsby
20 year anniversary, what…is time…my greatest gift. my best advice for a long term relationship..is…mainly..a good amount of luck. then…it’s both partners willing to work on it. after that- it’s honesty, over communicate and being friends with each other. but life is crazy and marriage is crazier so i don’t know maybe i have no advice just hold on tight to your horsey. i think that’s not a real saying. hold your britches? thanks for making me laugh and for holding me when i cry colin. ❤️ by @michellerigsby

my sloth tattoo, he was long awaited but i guess that's the bit..he's a sloth. years ago i looked at colin and said suddenly 'if i was an animal what would i be?' and we locked eyes and both said at the same time 'sloth' which is kinda comical because if you know me i'm hasty and i rush through most things. i am both next tattoo involves hot and cold, so. this post is brought to you by my starbucks cup coming back around because i lost my stanley, and the ever present baggu; you know that feeling when you're sick of something but it stays with you for another 2 years and it's not the things fault you just need to move on? by @michellerigsby
