Two years ago today, I published my first book, Ghosts in the Strawberry Field. I had no idea what I was doing but I had a pen, paper, and a dream. I spent countless nights writing and editing, and once the book was finished, you’d think I was relieved, but I was more afraid than ever. I was scared of what people might say or think, you know, all the things a nineteen year old girl worries about, but it was all worth it in the end. I am beyond grateful for all the people who have supported my writing. I hope my words inspire other young writers to use their vulnerability. Feeling deeply is a gift.
