When your cousin’s wife is equally obsessed with BTS, naturally you gotta go all in for her kid’s red egg and ginger party. #btsbaby #babyarmy💜 #redeggandgingerparty by @michemcg

The Anzellans from The Mandalorian and Grogu. They were so charming to see up close, as they repaired some mechanics. #d23expo2026 #anzellans #mandolorianandgrogu #imagineering

D23 Expo 2026, Day 3. Today, I had time to explore the floor and see some of the fun exhibits. I even caught Legendary Vehicle Designer Bob Gurr in front of the Imagineering Horizons pavilion. “I own this place!” he said. No arguments from me! by @michemcg

The BD-X droids are so cute, but I was shocked to see them outside of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge and in the Tomorrowland Terrace. No complaints here, as I’ll take any Disney moment of joy. #bdxdroids taken in Disneyland's Tomorrowland Terrace by @michemcg

John Muir Historical Site, a National Parks Service site. I inaugurated my NPS passport book with a visit here to honor what East Bay folks love: the natural splendor. Situated in Martinez, California, the site features a resident red shouldered hawk, many a fruit-bearing tree, and the invitation for the modern explorer to help preserve something special in their own lives. Thanks to Seth for an awesome tour today! @nationalparkservice #JOMU taken in John Muir National Historic Site by @michemcg

I still love the Back to the Future special effects the second time I saw it! Thanks, @dq_check_in, for being game to see this. And flashback to May 5, 2014 when @jonpolly and I saw the DeLorean cruising down I-5 at the Grapevine. Great Scott!!!!!! taken in San Jose Center for the Performing Arts by @michemcg

Finally made it to @yoshis_oak for my first time to see the incredible @stellakcole who would have been Mrs. Fiatarone’s favorite student for sure. (Because I was not Mrs. Fiat’s fav, LOL!). Stella sang all the great classics and brought back the sounds of Dinah Shore, Doris Day and Judy Garland. Fantastic show. Go see her tomorrow night. taken in Yoshi's Oakland -Jack London square by @michemcg

Today @dq_check_in and I rushed tickets for Hell’s Kitchen, the musical leveraging Alicia Keys’ incredible discography. The music was fantastic, of course, and I loved the hip hop pas de deux. (You don’t see that kind of choreo everyday!) The story felt a little cookie cutter until it picked up in the second half. Absolutely would see again! taken in Orpheum Theatre by @michemcg

Hadestown…wow, what an incredibly talented cast and band. Fantastic, intimate show. Haven’t felt like this since “Once the Musical.” Thanks to @lilsliceofme for letting me come with you to Hadestown. 🖤🌹 @atgsanfrancisco taken in Orpheum Theatre by @michemcg

Today, our red-shouldered hawks were quite active and enjoying a reprieve from the recent rains. I think they are awaiting eggs hatching. About 10 days ago, they were still bringing twigs to their nests. #merlinbirdid @merlin.bird.id #redtailedhawk taken in Dublin, California by @michemcg

It’s been nearly seven years since I have hiked Martin Canyon Creek, but amazing how some wildlife and greenery can soothe the soul. I think I found 14 or so different species of birds on the Merlin all while on this hike. I left off the music so you can hear the birds on the videos. #takeahike #gooutdoors #merlinbirdid taken in Martin Canyon Creek Trail by @michemcg
