POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Here’s a clear video of me posing. I’m pleased with the progress I’m seeing in my physique as we get closer to the next show. Most of these posts are just a way for me to track my progress and see the changes over time. That brings me to something on my mind:

EARNED RESILIENCE

On social media, we see the perfect marriages without knowing what it took to build them. We see successful careers without knowing how many setbacks or rejections someone faced to get there. Everything looks picture perfect, but we rarely see the work behind the picture.

Think about two people. Person one does everything right, never experiences failure, and eventually reaches the pinnacle of success. Person two fails several times, faces obstacles, and gets knocked down but refuses to quit. Eventually, they both reach the same destination.
The difference is how they respond when life knocks them down.

Person one may struggle to bounce back because failure is unfamiliar territory. Person two has been there before. They know how to adjust, get back up, and keep moving forward. That’s earned resilience.

When you see this physique, you might think it’s perfect or something you want for yourself. But you don’t see the uncomfortable seasons, the personal growth, or the people who helped me along the way. I can tell you one thing for sure: I didn’t get here alone. It took more than training, food, and supplements. It took evolving as a person and learning how to show up differently.

Whether you’re pursuing marriage, a career, fitness, music, military service, or anything meaningful to you, embrace the process. Don’t compare your journey to someone else’s highlight reel. You never know what it took for them to get there.

Have a blessed day. God bless, and continue to make progress. 🙏🏾

I’ve never really been a fan of the whole “This year, I’m going to do this” or “This year, I’m going to do that” thing. But for the first time, I’m at a place in my life where I can truly relate to it.

This year, I’m going to lean into God more than ever. I’m going to lean into my faith, especially when life gets hard, when things don’t make sense, and when the circumstances in front of me make it seem like the outcome is already inevitable.

I’m learning that it’s not about my strength or what I can see in front of me. It’s about what I believe, even when I can’t see how things will work out. It’s about trusting God to lead me in everything He’s entrusted me with, from my marriage and family to my responsibilities and the man I’m becoming.

So here’s to walking into this next year with stronger faith, a closer relationship with God, and a willingness to let Him lead, even when I don’t have all the answers.

Here’s to me. 🥂 Cheers to another year, to growth, to faith, and to many more years of becoming the man God has called me to be.

Happy birthday to me 🎈

Caption 1: Swipe for ✌🏾

For a while, I spent so much time focusing on everything that was going wrong that I had to step back and realize I actually have everything I prayed to God for.

Growing up, I didn’t see many marriages last or fathers, mothers, and children building a life together under one roof. Today, I have that. When I look back at everything I’ve accomplished through sports, the military, and the man I’m still becoming, I realize success isn’t just about achievements. It’s also about recognizing what you have and appreciating how far you’ve come.

It took almost losing everything, including myself, for God to help me realize that He had already given me so much of what I prayed for. Somewhere along the way, I started believing that having everything I asked for meant everything would be perfect. What I should have prayed for was the wisdom, patience, discipline, and character to handle those blessings, appreciate them, and continue building on them.

I became so focused on what was going wrong and what I didn’t have that I almost lost sight of what was right in front of me. The truth is, I have so much of what I once wished for, and I’m still growing toward everything that’s ahead.

I also want to thank my close friends who have supported me through this difficult season of transition. It’s rare to have people who genuinely want to see you grow, who can give you honest advice, challenge your perspective, and simply lend an ear when you need someone to listen. I’m grateful God placed the right people around me when I needed them most.

One of the biggest lessons I’m taking into this next chapter is that God isn’t just important. He’s necessary. He doesn’t just belong at the top of our list. He needs to be at the center of everything we do, especially when it comes to marriage and family. Every decision, thought, and action affects the people connected to us, and I’m learning to move with that understanding.

A few weeks out from my next competition while in prep I’ve been really devoting time to God to keep balance. I’ve been reading Ecclesiastes, also known as King Solomon, and one thing that really hit me was this idea of

“chasing after the wind.”

I’ve caught myself doing this.

Thinking,

“Once I have the house, I’ll be happy.”

“Once I have the money, I’ll be good.”

“Once I accomplish this goal, I’ll finally feel fulfilled.”

“Once I travel here, reach this level, buy this, or accomplish that, then I’ll be satisfied.”

The goalpost will always move if I let it.

It was reminder that everything I have I did pray for, so I need to be grateful for what I have. Not just grateful when everything goes my way. Grateful in the middle of the struggle. Grateful while I’m still building. Grateful while I’m still waiting. Grateful for the things I have that I once prayed for and now have.

I just want to take some time to thank God for the high points in my life and the lows.

Everyone thinks life is about the high points, but if your current “high point” is what you’re constantly focusing on, that may be as high as you ever go.

It’s the lows that can elevate you even higher when you’re willing to truly walk through them. How can you improve if you’re never told where improvement is needed? How can you grow if you aren’t willing to seek feedback about yourself?

I’m thankful for the lows and highs but more thankful for my brothers that have been the support. I’m ready for what God has next.

Happy Anniversary 🥂

5️⃣ years 08.14.21

Being married to you has been more than rewarding. It has challenged me, humbled me, strengthened me, and taught me how to truly be a husband, not just carry the title.
This marriage has been full of growth. I’ve learned that saying you want to grow is one thing, but actually being willing to grow when things get uncomfortable is something completely different.

Sometimes God uses conflict, disagreements, and difficult seasons to reveal the things within us that need to change. He has shown me that marriage is not about always being right, always getting our way, or avoiding difficult conversations. It’s about having the humility to look at ourselves, listen to each other, take accountability, forgive, and make the decision to become better for one another.

Marriage has taught me that loving your spouse is a daily decision. There will be good days, difficult days, moments when you understand each other perfectly, and moments when you have to work to find your way back to one another. But through it all, we have to continue choosing each other.

To the married couples who may be reading this, never confuse a difficult season with a failed marriage. Growth is not always comfortable, and sometimes the very things that challenge your marriage can become the things that strengthen it when both people are willing to do the work.

I’m grateful for everything God has taught me through our marriage, including the things I didn’t want to learn. I’m grateful for the growth, the lessons, the memories, and most importantly, for you.

Happy Anniversary, my love ♥️🌻 by @michfulton
