London has a way of making sure that your heart rate never drops below 170bpm! 🇬🇧 Over the course of 5 days, I “doppelgänged” as my favorite artist (@rexorangecounty ) to see him live for the first time, he decided to sing my favorite song on the stage, *also live for the first time ever. I took the Southeastern to Brighton and witnessed magic as @caitlinoryan spoke her truth in the form of poetry. I directed a short film I wrote after years of second-guessing myself, alongside incredible women who love to make films as much as I do and refuse to be polite about it. Spent more time commuting to places than actually being in those places. Didn’t see the Big Ben, nor Buckingham Palace. Took seven buses in the wrong direction. Rode a bike on the other side of the street, fully committed to meet my end (sorry to disappoint). Missed the right train to an important meeting, sprinted through an unfamiliar neighborhood, only to arrive at Soho House looking like I’d just ran a marathon. I exchanged warm smiles with strangers I’ll probably never see again, while staying in the home of another stranger I wish to meet soon. Went to an art show that ended in a rave inside a thrift shop next door. Didn’t drink english breakfast blend, but ate 4 cupcakes with no remorse. Took way too many selfies, because I’m obsessed with the tube’s mirrors and Brick Lane’s walls! Bought my first cap at a coffee shop and have been wearing it like my life depended on it. And even though I’m for sure forgetting something, I won’t forget this feeling: It was f***ing fantastic! More coming soon… Probably! London, you’ve been good to me. A few months ago, I got to shoot @anahidec and these beautiful "bad moms” with their kids. Working alongside the incredible @circusgrey team and @falabella_pe and my @canica_films family. A film about all the ways mothers are judged and made to question themselves. For Mother’s Day, instead of romanticizing motherhood, @falabella_pe gave real moms the space to speak up about the pressure and impossible expectations they face and, most importantly, to feel heard and seen. 🤍 So happy to finally share this Director's Cut. I did this global casting… without leaving my desk. 🎬⚡️ No flights. No casting rooms. Just me, my laptop, and way too much coffee. I was skeptical at first. AI can do wild stuff like aliens on surfboards, but real intimacy? That’s always been my language as a director. So I decided to embrace AI, *my way*. ✨ This is my first attempt. 📝 My workflow? Via @freepik , I used @google @googledeepmind #nanobanana 🍌for img/character creation, #enhancorai for upscaling, @adobe @photoshop for details, animated with #Bytedance #Seedance 1.0 Pro, edited with #PremierePro, @sunomusic AI to create the soundtrack. 🫶🏼 Thanks to @pjacefilms @rourkeheath @simonmeyer_director for sharing your knowledge and experience! Putting powerful performance and storytelling first, Michelle’s career has seen her work with the likes of Cornetto, Milka and Ikea (The 'Proudly Second Best' campaign, which won a Gold Lion in Film at Cannes). Her recent short film - The Walk - turned heads left, right and centre on International Women’s Day and further remarked on the way she crafts subtle and profound narratives.
