🤎💚 I was drawn to earthy colours during yesterday’s visit to @forestfaeryapothecary (last time I was drawn to water colours). You can walk around the store five, six times and every time you notice something else, or something calls out to you.

I highly recommend visiting before Christmas, and I bet you’ll be able to get a fair bit of your Christmas shopping done there, although I only bought gifts for myself this time 🤭 and that’s perfectly fine too! 🌱🍄‍🟫🌳🍂🪨🌿 #forestfaeryapothecary by @michslabyrinth

🎬 Paint (Short Film, 2025) by Callum Blue @paint_themovie

✨ Layered, poignant, and beautifully human ✨

I’ve watched this short film a few times over the past six months, and each time, it struck a different chord within me. It’s incredibly thought-provoking.

The story is so layered—open to interpretation depending on your own experiences and your state of mind. One time I watched it during a thunderstorm, and even that changed what I took from it.

The story—like life—is like a storm. Sad, even horrifying at times… but somehow still beautiful. There’s love. Hope. The promise that you can write a new story once the panic passes and you’ve made it through. Some moments are stunning, others are raw and jarring. Just like life.

One time I watched it, I hated the sound of the crystals in the credits. I physically cringed. Now I think it triggered my sympathetic nervous system—it had hit something deep. And doesn’t that say something about how powerful it is?

I loved how the film explores the challenge of navigating your own story—especially when you feel stuck behind something painful. And I love how it reminds us that beautiful souls still exist, even when they’ve lived through ugly periods… or loved people who are still trapped in theirs.

This is for anyone in a life crisis, or just questioning where they’re going. You’ll see something in it—maybe even something of yourself.

I didn’t grasp every concept. But I noticed something new each time I watched it. Maybe one day I’ll understand everything it’s trying to say.

🎬 What a remarkable achievement—to tell such a rich, emotional story in just 22 minutes.

Huge congratulations to Callum Blue @callum_blue_ on his directorial debut. What a beginning.

💜💙 Look at my haul from @forestfaeryapothecary ! So many beautiful treasures to be found in the cute studio shop located in the Kalamunda foothills.

I’m hoping that there’s a djinn 🧞 in my bottle!
