Link in my bio!Have you ever felt like no matter what you do to escape or fix your problems, that you just keep ending up back at square one? Like you’re shiny on the outside, but you’re crumbling on the inside? Then this song is for you ♥️🎤I struggled with mental illness for most of ny life. Constant medication changes, doctors, and misdiagnosis….I felt lost and hopeless. People I love kept telling me how awesome I was, but I felt fake. I smiled for their sake, when I really felt like my demons were crushing me. I’m much better now, though. I can honestly say I’m happier than ever. I can’t stress how important self-care and professional help are, even when it takes a very long time for them to work. Thank you to those of you who played along with the clues leading up to the release!! The clues meanings are below for those that are curious:Clue 1 (gold corset photo): the clue was gold everything. Many of you go this half right! Clue 2 (“Gasoline” cover): the clue was the theme. Especially lyrics in the song. They talked about feeling like you’re just a machine programmed for everyone else’s entertainment, and that there’s something wrong with you.Clue 3 (“screw everything” necklace): pretty self-explanatory. This song has a very “screw everything” mentality, and the jewelry was all gold. Clue #4 (“Into the Ocean” cover): this clue was the lyrics. We are super happy to announce to all of you that Micki XO will be performing on Day 1 of Final Girl Fest 😱 Micki XO is a talented electro pop artist based in Portland, OR, that is known for her powerful and soulful voice both vocally and lyrically. She’s been described by publications as “an exceptionally brilliant musician that knows how to tell a narrative through her lyrics, which are profound, honest, and very relevant” and “[has an] emotive vocal delivery [that] lays down an empowering sound that highlights the darkness she’s been through.” Throughout her career, she has played upwards of 75 shows at infamous venues in the Portland and surround areas, been featured on radio stations, and has had a large number of publications write about her. She writes about important topics like mental health, toxic relationships, and self-love, and she isn’t looking to build fans.
