The Buckley Tivoli in North Wales is just the type of fantastic grass roots old school venue that every community should have. Small enough to be close to the action and big enough to generate a big atmosphere and pull in top quality bands. Last night it played host to the always wonderful The Wonder Stuff… cue a joyful mass singalong and a sold out crowd of very happy people.

Cracked Actor 🎭
I was in the tiny dressing room before The Chameleons show at The Devils Arse in the Peak District last year as Vox as getting ready. The scene reminded me of the classic images of Bowie doing his stage face in the 1970s so grabbed a couple of candid snaps capturing the moment.
With his blessing I’m sharing here and really looking forward to catching up with him and all the guys on Saturday night when they play here in North Wales 🩵

🩵🦅 Such sad news yesterday about Kevin Keegan. This pic was taken at the photo shoot for the launch of the Hands Up If You Love City! Project in 2003.
After the main image was done for the Manchester Evening News King Kevin (the original one before KDB) was kind enough to do pics with the kids. As you can see, he was the ultimate professional, playing up to the camera… unlike my son James who was too distracted. In fairness he was only 2 at the time 🩵

🩵 27 years ago today, Louise and I got married. We chose Manchester as it was where we’d met (and made our home) with the perfect location being the beautiful Town Hall building as neither of us are religious. That meant no hymns and this was the blessing…

It’s always interesting to see bands in those few minutes when they’re waiting backstage ready to go on for the show. Some are full of nerves and hyped up… some just chilled and chatting to those around.
5 minutes before The Wonder Stuff took to the boards at the packed Gigantic All Dayer here’s Milo. He was speaking to MGT when he spotted me lurking and snapping in the shadows (even though I had my camo shirt on 🤪).
