What a year😲!

Grateful for 2024 🙏. God is so good 🙏. From January to December, let’s go😀.
JANUARY: I bought my first car 🤓. I started the Spring semester with many uncertainties, but God came through.
FEBRUARY: I gave my first seminar presentation, a poster, and an oral presentation on my research at the 2024 Translational Cancer Center Consortium (TRCCC) annual meeting hosted by the University of Pittsburgh.
MARCH: I was selected to attend the 2024 NCI-funded workshop on “Big Data Training for Cancer Research” (BigCARE) at UC Irvine. In addition, I received a travel award to support my attendance at the workshop in July.
- I got some #funds approved by the HSC Office of Research and Graduate Education for my Experiential learning in the Summer at UC Irvine.
-During the heat of the semester, I got diagnosed with a periodontal issue due to a shift with one of my front teeth, and I had to start treatment as soon as I can so I don’t lose my front tooth😂😂. The financial implication stressed me out, but I am grateful for the gift of men. All glory to God🙏.
APRIL: I got some #funds approved by the HSC Office of Research and Graduate Education for my Experiential learning in the Summer at UC Irvine. I got #approved for the Stitzel Emergency Funds by the Office of Graduate Education and Life Page to settle part of my dental bills.
MAY: I completed my #coursework and performed excellently, maintaining a #CGPA of 4.0/4.0. Despite the challenges in the semester, God saw me through.
JUNE: I completed my dental treatment with a positive feedback from my Periodontist. She was impressed at how well I maintained a good oral hygiene. I was also happy with the #result of the treatment.
JULY: I traveled to California for the Big Care workshop. It was also an #opportunity to network with people.
AUGUST: I moved to a new apartment, and my fiance (now my husband) pulled a surprise #proposal party for me on the 31st of August.
SEPTEMBER: A year was added to my years. Got on a collaborative research🤓.
OCTOBER: I passed my #candidacy exam.
NOVEMBER: Safe international travels.
DECEMBER: I got #married to the love of my life. Thanks to my 1k+ #followers🎉.

This song has been playing in my head for days and I thought to share.
These days where things are not stable and personalities keep changing we can only look up to God for help to be strong, close to him and focused on him.
Let this song minister to you.

The Global Stage!!

We often neglect the preparatory phase and think we can get up there in the twinkling of an eye. Success is like an iceberg!! So many things happen #backstage that people don’t see, but your results will always speak. Keep working hard!

So many questions to be answered. Have you discovered yourself? What are you actively doing to build those skills and talents? Since you have found your purpose, has anything been done? Are you willing to pay the price? Those #dreams may be big, but are you intentional about bringing them to reality?

You cannot neglect the place of preparation, process, prayer, and people if you aim to go far. You need people who are ready to support and #encourage you as you take that bold step to fulfill your dreams. You can do it! Put in the conscious efforts! Your dreams should keep pushing you to do the impossible! Your dreams are valid!!

What drives you? Hilda Baci, who broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking, had a goal, and she was determined to get through no matter how impossible it may seem. Just do it!!

You will get there! You can set and break those records! Keep working! Let me know in the #comment section what challenged you from the bold step @hildabacicookathon took.

PS: Fulfilling those big dreams will stretch you because nothing good comes easy. Keep working hard!
