After more than 20 years of recording vocals, we had tried everything. Every mic was too dull, too bright, too harsh, or just wrong. The MicParts V-251 ended that search. It is smooth, powerful, and crystal clear, always flattering and never fights the singer. Every client walks away saying it is the best they have ever sounded. We loved it so much we put one in every control room at @thepandastudios. Cheers to and thanks @micparts! 🐼💜 taken in The Panda Studios by @micparts

That's @shreyaghoshal , Indian mega-star, tracking vocals for the hit new collab, "Oh Mama! TETEMA." The new music video has gone viral: 28M plays on Youtube! Shreya's vocals were tracked by @sanjoyd at @thepandastudios , with a MicParts V-251 tube mic (which incidentally was built from our DIY kit by my old pal @sampura !)

Check out the mic lineup on @timpierceguitar 's latest video! That's our SDC-84, a pencil condenser based on the vintage KM84 circuit and voicing (with a custom-wound high-nickel transformer), and a Roswell Pro Audio Mini K87. Tim used these to record two new acoustics from Taylor Guitars. See the full video (which has some really nice playing, needless to say) on Tim's Youtube channel (link in bio).
.
The SDC-84 is sold as a finished mic, or if you enjoy DIY, you can buy it in kit form and build it yourself. MicParts mic kits are widely known as having the best build guides and documentation in the industry. See thousands of 5-star reviews on the MicParts website. by @micparts

We received a nice testimonial about the MicParts V-47 tube mic from Matthew D: "I finished the v47 kit and love the sound of it. Overall, it was worth all the time I spent on it and was extremely gratifying to finally finish. It has added tons of quality to my production and I am now able to easily achieve the vocal tone that I have been imagining for my music. Thanks again for all of your help, and I look forward to building more of your microphones in the future!"

The V-47 is a 6072 based tube condenser mic with a K47 capsule, built with some of the finest components in the world. We sell it as a DIY kit (with a 40-page step-by-step build guide), and as a finished mic that's ready to plug in and record. Link in bio for more info. by @micparts

This mic was a CV-12, but has been completely updated with the MicParts V-251 circuit kit and RK-12 capsule.

Steve M writes, "Needless to say, the mic sounds utterly astounding!! I cannot get over how it has been elevating both vocal and acoustic recordings in my studio, and I cannot wait to get it on a drum kit soon! Thank you for the killer products and another gratifying project -- this mic will be getting a lot of use, for sure."

Thanks, Steve!

If you have a CV-12 that is not meeting your needs, whether due to high distortion, thin bottom end, harsh top end, or high noise floor, we have a mail-in mod service as well as multiple levels of upgrade available. (link in bio) by @micparts

Thanks to Allan B for a nice testimonial!

Our "V57" (Schoeps style, adapted for LDC) circuit has been winning shootouts for over 10 years. You might find other transformerless DIY circuit kits on the market, but none with the quality of components, documentation, and support found in our kits.

If, like Allan, you have a cheap donor mic available, the parts cost on this upgrade is $249. The build takes 45 minutes if you're experienced, maybe 4 hours if you've never done it before. There, you just saved over $1500 on your next condenser mic purchase. :-) by @micparts

Here's a nice customer testimonial about the MicParts SDC-84 pencil mic.

If, like this customer, you had bought a mass-produced Asian mic that claims to be a clone of the Neumann KM84, you might also find that your acoustic guitar sound is lacking something... once you compare it to a nicer mic, anyway. :-)

We have expanded our options for mail-in mic mods. If you want a world-class mic but your budget doesn't cover the cost of that fancy name badge, check out our upgrade service.

We send back all the parts we removed from the original mic -- usually that means the entire circuit board and capsule. Most of these upgrades build a new, better mic inside the housing of the old one.

Contact us if the mic you wish to upgrade is not pictured.

Thanks to @eviljoebarresi for the nice feedback about the MicParts "Snare Mic!"

This is a KM84 style pencil condenser with internal gain staging to accommodate crazy-high SPL. It's not a bright or splatty mic; it hears the full size of the drum, with fantastic HH rejection.

We sell this both as a finished mic and as a DIY kit. See the MicParts.com website for more info. by @micparts
