POSTS STORIES REELS

Blending my love for film with my love for skiing has been one of the most meaningful creative outlets I have found this winter. While I cannot ski the way I did three years ago, there is something deeply special about slowing down, cruising through the mountains, soaking in the landscape, and stopping whenever a moment feels worth capturing.

Since I’m cruising, it is easier to see the story in front of me. The light, the trees, and the quiet stretches of snow all start to feel intentional. Sometimes I have to remind myself to stop taking photos because everything feels beautiful and worth framing.

I love skiing with friends, but there is a different kind of magic in going alone with my cameras and moving at my own pace, I just let the mountain set the rhythm. I came into this ski season nervous and uncertain, but photographing it has turned out to be unexpectedly calming and almost meditative. by @mics__pics

As the season for beginning the ascent at 3 am comes to an end, so will the sunrise pics at 14k feet.

My first class 3 scramble! Yay! The trough was definitely the hardest part for me, as every couple steps I would feel a little woozy from the altitude, but I made it! I don’t think I’ve ever experienced wind so intense… and I’m still sporting a gnarly bruise from getting blown over 2 weeks later (I’m just soooooo tiny and petite that the wind knocked me down).

I love Colorado and I love the sunrise. 🌄

Maintaining face card at 14,000 feet should count as mountaineering experience.

Someone tell me which mountains I should climb next so I can hit multiple 14ers in one shot 💯 by @mics__pics

GRAYS & TORREYS ✅

One of my favorite parts about hiking a 14er is starting before sunrise with nothing but a headlamp, then coming back down in daylight and realizing how incredible the entire section you climbed in the dark actually was.

Grays was insanely windy and genuinely miserable. At one point, I had to talk myself through descending into Mordor because I was convinced I was going to blow off the mountain and roll all the way back to the trailhead.

Then Torreys was an absolute delight and somehow made all the misery of Grays worth it. A true enemies-to-lovers hiking experience.

Torreys people, is Grays always this rude, or did I just catch her on a bad day?? by @mics__pics

Dewy dreamscape hiking film pics! If you can guess how they got so dreamy I’ll give you a hug and a cookie. Has nothing to do with the camera and these were not at all edited! by @mics__pics

Every once in a while you visit a place that changes something in you. Monument Valley was that place for me. The history, the landscape, the quiet… it felt sacred. Riding through it on horseback is a memory I’ll never stop being grateful for. 🤎 by @mics__pics
