This was the very first time I had ever been in Austin. 18 years old way back in 2012. It was also my very first SXSW, back when it still had a soul and wasn't an expo for genocide technologists. Stumbled across so many great bands, some took off, some didn't, but they all left a real impact on me. Got to meet Class Actress, I think that was the first time I ever talked to a musician I just saw perform.

I've fallen out of touch with Ethan and Janet, it feels like another lifetime has passed since then.

It's amazing how a tedious chore of cleaning up your image files can suddenly trigger so many memories.
