I’m a tea sipping, music obsessing, adventure seeking, art making, God loving, “middle of the road” runner running everything from fun runs to ultras.

Hi. I’m Heather. I’ve been running on and off, here and there most of my adult life, but 4 years ago I started running much more consistently and it escalated quickly. I went from a 10K being my furthest distance to running ultras. I had never seen myself as a runner, because for some reason I felt I had to be “good” at it first. Well, that’s never going to happen! I don’t mind being an underdog. I don’t care if people underestimate me or question my sanity. I will keep on doing what I’m doing…not because I love running (because I don’t!) but because I love what running has given me along the way. by @middle_of_the_roadrunner

It’s not just about the distance. They each have their own vibe. Which one do you prefer?

I guess this is what it looks like to run like a girl…especially when the girl is running against 60+ mph wind gusts. 😮‍💨 Photo from the MidSouth 50K last Friday.

I also thought it hilarious to compare me in two polar opposite life moments. 🎭 I’m trying my best to make the most of all my life moments…even the 60mph ones. 🌬️

The changing colors make running a teeny tiny bit more tolerable.🧡

Have I mentioned how much I love this time of year? It makes running a tiny bit more tolerable. 🥴 I’m trying to get back on my training schedule this week…last week I failed to get all my runs in…this week? so far so good.

Every once in awhile there’s a run that stands out, not because of anything I did, but because of the beauty that surrounds me. I love this time of year! October is my favorite running month! 🌅🍂

Doing my best to stay on track, but life has been extra busy lately. Trying to find the time to get it all done. How do YOU do it? 🥴

I finally committed to something…in other words I signed up for the @okcmarathon . It has been a few years since I last participated in it, but I think it’s a super cool event. I have so many fun memories from it, and I can’t wait to do it again! 🤗

Post treadmill run art project! It was raining for two days straight here. Seemed like a good time to start a gigantic art project. Next up: power tools! 🪚✏️

Snapshots from my long run. 🤳 I like this trail…the many bridges break up the monotony of a run a bit.
