Proudly dressed in my Agbada Yoruba attire, I had the honor of representing Nigeria and my roots at the Africa Climate Summit 2. Wearing it was more than fashion, it was a way of promoting and celebrating our Nigerian culture on an international stage, while also connecting with fellow Nigerians and sharing in our heritage.

Key Takeaways from the Second Africa Climate Summit (ACS2):

Financing Africa’s Climate Future – The summit emphasized moving from pledges to actual financing, ensuring funds reach African-led projects that address real community needs.

Africa at the Center of Solutions – Leaders highlighted that Africa is not just vulnerable but a key driver of solutions in renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture, and green industrialization.

Inclusive Climate Action – Women, youth, and local communities were placed at the heart of climate policies and finance strategies.

Partnerships & Innovation – From AI to clean cooking, technology and partnerships emerged as vital to scaling solutions and attracting investment.

From Survival to Resilience – Adaptation was framed not just as survival, but as building a resilient and thriving Africa that shapes global climate action.

Why This Matters:
Although Africa contributes the least to global emissions, we suffer the most from its effects. The summit proved that with the right finance, partnerships, and innovation, Africa can lead the global green transition, turning vulnerability into resilience, and challenges into opportunities.

Thank you, Abba Father, for the first half of the year; in the second half of the year, I flow in the effortless rhythms of grace. by @mideofbhd

2024 was a great year.
Thank You, Abba Father!

In 2025, we go 10X harder.
Happy New Year! 😇 by @mideofbhd

Hurried in the morning
Busy through the day
Striving through the mourning
To keep the dark away

Impatient through the night
Anxious for dawn to break
Fighting with so little a might
The war to stay awake

He tells me just to wait
While he carries every weight
Oh my child be still
Watch me, let me do it

He tells me just to breathe
While he blows calm through the heat
Oh my child be still
Watch me, let me do it

He is the God of now and then
He is my joy and source of strength
He is my father and good friend
He’s the God of the drain and drench

He is the truth, the life, and the way
He is my comfort and confidence
He is the good, better and very best
He is my refuge and residence by @mideofbhd

I had the privilege of joining the @cleantechnologyhub team last week, representing Nigeria at the @identic_fundacion Hackathon in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. During this event, we focused on creating assistive technologies for individuals with disabilities, shedding light on their exclusion from resources and information in various aspects of life.

The hackathon highlighted the intentional or unintentional exclusion of people with disabilities from crucial resources and information. The barriers they face limit their ability to adapt to challenges like climate change, hindering progress in areas such as climate action, energy access, education, and financial inclusion.

Although we didn't secure the first place, our solution ranked in the top 5. Our innovative approach included special features such as screen readers, voice prompts, photo-sensitive imaging, and a commitment to 100% local content.

Participating in the largest Youth & Tech event in Africa was an invaluable experience. The hackathon not only provided a platform for collaborative problem-solving but also equipped participants with hands-on skills, the ability to work under time constraints, and fostered creativity in finding innovative solutions. The exposure to new technologies and networking added to the overall holistic learning experience.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality received during our stay in Malabo, starting from the airport. The kindness shown to us made every moment enjoyable. A special thanks to the team of volunteers who supported us throughout this adventure.

I want to express my appreciation to the @identic_fundacion and Teg campus for the warm reception and the opportunity to bring forth a new solution. Thank you, @ifeomamalo, for this valuable opportunity. I appreciate your support ma.
