Fall Adoption Days are happening TOMORROW, Friday, Sept. 25 and Saturday, Sept. 26!

We open at 11 a.m. and can’t wait to welcome you through our doors. Harlequin, Purrcy, Bandit, Alice, Baby Kitty, Bun Bun, Blue and Jesse are just some of the animals waiting to meet you. They’re hoping it will be their turn to head home with a loving family, and they can’t wait to meet the people who might make that happen.

Fall Adoption Days are happening this TOMORROW, Friday, Sept. 25 and Saturday, Sept. 26 at Ontario SPCA animal centres across the province. Adoption fees for adult dogs, cats and rabbits will be reduced by 15 per cent during the two-day event, making it a great time to find your new best friend.

Hey you! Have you been looking for the perfect dynamic duo?
It’s us. Apollo and Aries.

We’ve been in the care of the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Midland and District Animal Centre for quite some time now, and guess what?

We’re really blossoming.

We’re four-year-old White Swiss Shepherd mixes, bonded brothers, best friends, and professional treat testers. Nom nom nom.

When we first arrived, the world felt pretty overwhelming. Trusting people was hard, and even connecting with our new friends felt like a huge step.

But look at us now.

We’re greeting our people with wagging tails. We’re gently taking treats from their hands. We’re getting more comfortable every day. And sometimes, when we’re out for a walk, we even have a little brotherly wrestling match.

We’re learning. We’re growing. We’re becoming more confident.

The one thing we haven’t had much of is interest from potential adopters.

And honestly, we think we know why.

There are two of us.

But we promise, that’s actually the best part.

We already have our best friend by our side. We keep each other company, we understand each other, and we make each other feel safe. We promise we are two very good boys who will bring twice the love, twice the laughs and twice the happiness into your life.

And right now, there’s an extra reason to come meet us.

Our adoption fees are reduced by 15% until 6 PM today, Saturday, September 26, as part of the Fall Adoption Days promotion.

So if you’ve been waiting for a sign...

Maybe this is it.

Blue is a lively Lab Mix with a heart full of joy and a love for play. He’s friendly, energetic, and has a way of making everyone he meets smile.

Blue loves all kinds of games, but fetch is his absolute favourite. He thrives when he’s active and would benefit from some additional training to help channel his enthusiasm and zest for life.

Blue has lots of love to give and would prefer to be the only animal in the home, where he can enjoy being the centre of attention and build a special bond with his people.

We’re at Friendly Stranger from 1 PM to 3 PM today!

Friendly Stranger has been collecting donations for our animal centre throughout the month of September, and we are so grateful for their support.

Bandit had another great night at Agility Dawgs!
A big thank you to our wonderful volunteer Matt for taking Bandit and being his handler. Bandit has been having a great time showing off his skills, getting some exercise and enjoying a fun night out.

Bandit is a Heeler mix, and he is one of the many amazing animals at our animal centre waiting for his furever home. His adoption fee will be reduced by 15% on Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26 during Fall Adoption Days.

If you’re interested in Bandit, we highly encourage you to take some time to learn more about the Heeler breed and what makes them unique. Understanding a breed’s needs, energy level and personality can help you determine if you’re the right match. We’re happy to answer any questions you may have and provide additional literature to help you make an informed decision.

Today's the day! Fall Adoption Days are officially here at Ontario SPCA and Humane Society animal centres across the province.

Adoption fees on all adult cats, dogs and rabbits are reduced by 15 per cent today and tomorrow. Cats and dogs adopted from the Ontario SPCA are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and they go home with food from Royal Canin.

Chomper, Fishstick, Adrien, Billie, Herschel, Jansport, Ann Perkins, Joey & Phoebe, Avocado, Scarlett and Penny, all photographed here, have found their forever homes. We are also celebrating Lilo, Meowzers, Rex, Butter, Curly, Gilbert, Ginger and Humphrey, who have also been adopted!

Bandit had a wonderful day out exploring the sights of Midland with our volunteer Matt, and along the way, he got to meet some new friends, take in some new surroundings and show everyone what a good boy he can be.

As much as Bandit enjoyed his day out, what he really wants is a family of his own. He’s still waiting for that special person or family to walk through our doors and see the wonderful dog he is.

As a Heeler, Bandit is smart, energetic and curious. He needs someone who understands the breed and can give him the time and patience he needs to settle into a new home.

He’ll also need a family who is ready to keep his busy brain engaged and give him the exercise, enrichment and structure he needs to thrive.
For the right person, Bandit could be an incredibly rewarding companion. Could you be the family he’s been waiting for?

We're hosting a special two-day adoption event this Friday, Sept. 25 and Saturday, Sept. 26, with adoption fees on adult cats and dogs reduced by 15 per cent to help them find loving homes!
