As a woman in STEAM having touched multiple disciplines, I’m proud to represent women of all backgrounds, cultures, experiences and practices who have contributed to the greatest good of mankind through their ideas, actions and discoveries. *boom*

And as a creative technologist, my brain is always on GO MODE! Lately, I’ve been in the WholisTECH Lab working on a new framework that aligns my background in technology, mindfulness and wellbeing to help people get one step closer to their inner greatness. The Emerald Equation does just that.

The connection between the spirit, mind and body has been established, studied and worked on for a millennia; I built this framework to meet every person where they are, give them small achievable steps towards their goal and create a community to lift them up through their progress.

Alongside historians, therapists, athletes, educators and developers, I used this framework to guide me in my latest project, the HEIRA app, more on that in the future. I’m blessed to work with other amazing people over the last 6 years who see it, get it and work with me to share it with others.

Get to know Midori Amae 💚✨

Seated in our National’s Capital, Midori serves mankind across DC, the country and beyond. Representing women in STEAM, supporting students studying STEAM career fields and teaching STEAM skills herself, Ms. Amae has already taken her service and the crown on a tour. Within the first half of the year, Midori has attended and volunteered at 10 pageants, donated 20 hours in music education and community building through music, closely mentored more than 15 students with STEAM career and life paths, lead 40+ people in mindfulness moments, and has coached 100+ models.

Midori has made notable impact at:
- the historic Howard University
- the Miss Montgomery County Organization
- St. Olaf College in Minnesota
- Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated Eastern Region Convention in Atlantic City, New Jersey
- and Williams Consulting Walk a Mile in My Shoes charity to name a few.

She currently lives out her personal motto to “Edu-lighten. Inspire. Empower.” through her framework and platform The Emerald Equation, as a wellness tech founder finding harmony with Spirit, Mind and Body through holistic non-addictive technology.

On the horizon, Midori is volunteering with STEAM Summer and after school programs, ensuring the next generation is equipped with more tools and resources than she had for a brighter future in harmony with technology.

Happy Freedom Day! 💚 This Juneteenth, I found myself surrounded by some of my most favorite Black pageant family, celebrating community, our achievements and what an incredible future we can create for ourselves.

I watched my sister and fellow pageant director and mentor @misskendallarielle become Ms. Black United States 2026 🎉 judged by two of my favorite and long time friends and mentors @yardenoir and @bemadebyb. I made friends in the audience, hugged familiar faces and discovered a few new fans!

It’s a blessing to be able to share my culture with the world through pageantry, especially with an international platform like Universe United Ms. Juneteenth celebrates the literal voice of freedom for those last slave strongholds who had no idea that they were free men and women. It’s only fitting that on this day we stand tall, shine bright and use our voices to share the story of the meek to the masses.

Thank you Yolanda for taking a bold leap into the future by creating this pageant and platform for these ladies to unite our community and create brighter futures for us all across this country.

A dream come true! A few years ago when I expanded my musicianship and started my DJ journey, you could not convince me that not only would I one day run audio for not one, but TWO Miss America events in Maryland...but that I would meet Miss America and be her DJ?! How incredible is that?!

As a musician and vocalist, it’s amazing to see such a star shine so bright. I’m thankful to have been in her glow and to see this talent up close. Thank you to Tammy from @missmaryland for the opportunity to slay their first fashion show fundraiser, and a special thank you to my sister Kendall from @missmocoorgmd, for giving me my first pageant platform to DJ that lead to this HUGE opportunity! This won’t be the last time you see me with the pageant girlies, TRUST!

Shoutout to my dress sponsor for the evening @signature.dresses — I ate that. Seriously.
