I am delighted to have my artwork featured in “GRAVITY AND LEVITY” at Naeil Gallery in Seoul, South Korea. October 9–21, 2026 This exhibition is part of Micro Biennial Seoul 2026, held under the patronage of the Italian Cultural Institute in Seoul 🇮🇹 and curated by Stefania Carrozzini of MyMicroGallery, Milan. 🇮🇹 Midori McCabe è affascinata dai colori e dalle forme della natura fin da quando era bambina. A casa ha imparato la calligrafia da sua madre, una calligrafa giapponese esperta di “HIRAGANA”. Midori pensava che anche quelle forme fossero molto organiche e le adorava. Un’estate, sua madre la portò nello studio di un artista contemporaneo per lezioni private. Il suo atelier era pieno di dipinti astratti e lei era emozionata da quei colori e quelle texture; soprattutto la sabbia dell’oceano. Midori si sentiva come se fosse entrata in un meraviglioso mondo sconosciuto di creatività. Ha anche imparato ad amare la musica; suonare il pianoforte e formazione vocale classica. Tutte queste esperienze hanno costituito la base per un amore per il colore e la forma che durerà tutta la vita. Ha viaggiato molto; vivere in diversi paesi ed esplorare il potenziale artistico di culture diverse. A Londra ha imparato a usare colori più brillanti e ha anche esplorato i gioielli artistici. Ha creato il marchio “Della London” (prendendo il nome di un amico curdo) di gioielli d’arte realizzati a mano. Al suo ritorno da Londra, ha potuto collocare i suoi gioielli in 7 negozi di Tokyo. Dal 2009 contribuisce con le sue immagini a una linea di sciarpe di seta (Art Foulard) originarie di Napoli, Italia. La creatività non ha confini ed è sempre aperta a nuove sfide. I suoi dipinti astratti carichi di emozione riflettono direttamente la luce e i colori dell’ambiente circostante. Il clima della California aiuta molto. Negli ultimi anni i suoi frequenti viaggi a Venezia e Milano sono stati una grande fonte di ispirazione. Afferma: “Ogni esperienza unica sboccia in una storia piena di colori ricchi e movimento; sulla mia tela creo storie ispirate da tutti i miei viaggi”. Ha esposto ampiamente il suo lavoro in Europa, Giappone e Stati Uniti, inclusa una “mostra personale di 2 anni presso la sede centrale di Google” e in diverse gallerie di New York. 🇬🇧 Midori McCabe has been fascinated by nature’s colors and forms since she was a child. . “Rhythms of emotions” - “Ritmo dell’emozione” Ci sono emozioni e attimi che non si possono descrivere a parole e poi ci sono questi scatti meravigliosi che racchiudono, raccontano alla perfezione ogni momento ed emozione condivisa per la nuova mostra.
