🚨 NEW ZAMBONI. SAME FLOCK. 🚨

Big things are happening at Midwest Training & Ice! We’re excited to welcome this new-to-us Zamboni to the rink as part of an investment in the future of our hockey community.

Replacing the old machines from 1999, these twin sisters bring a fresh upgrade to the ice-making lineup.. keeping our rink ready for the next generation of Blackbirds Hockey! ♥️

A huge thank you to Midwest Training & Ice for continuing to invest in our facility, our players, and the future of the game.

Two full sessions and over 60 sign-ups! 🏒✨

We were absolutely thrilled to host so many eager skaters at our Try Hockey for Free event this past Saturday! From ages 4 to 10, these kids brought incredible energy and a massive love for the game to the ice.

A huge thank you to the Chicago Blackhawks, Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois - AHAI , and USA Hockey for partnering with us to make this fantastic event possible! Each participant went home with a jersey, a hockey stick, a street hockey ball, and a Blackbirds t-shirt, and they will receive an exclusive ticket offer to a Blackhawks game later this week!
We are incredibly proud of the Midwest Youth Blackbirds Hockey coaches and players who stepped up to guide these new skaters. You did an amazing job making everyone feel safe, confident, and excited to learn. Another big thank you goes out to our dedicated Learn to Skate staff (Midwest Figure Skating) for their hard work behind the scenes, and on the ice to make the day run so smoothly!
Thank you to all the families who joined us—we can't wait to see these smiles back on the ice soon!
