I might be the last person on Earth to watch Bad Bunny’s halftime performance (my Wi-Fi and I have a complicated relationship lol), but man… it hit home. 🇵🇷

Seeing the piragua stands, the jeweler that reminded me so much of Grandpa with that ponytail, and the family vibes brought back every memory of growing up on and off the island. It’s that specific Caribbean energy—the kind that survives blackouts and celebrates the little things. It’s the same energy I try to pack into every plate I make. 🍲✨

Full disclosure: This is my first time ever making a video/slideshow. My skills in the kitchen are much better than my skills in the editing room, so please don't judge the transitions too hard! 😂 I just wanted to share the roots that inspired me to start this food journey. UTUADO, PR to Trenton to Burlington, NJ.

I used whatever photos I could find, and there are definitely some faces in here I don't fully recognize—so if you see a Titi or a cousin, tag them! But don't tell my mom about that Dubi pic lol!
