Just finished my advanced copy from @netgalley of @amy.meyerson ‘s next title- The Chaperones
A school field trip turns deadly when a group of private school parents and their children are on a remote island for the weekend. Everyone seems to have a secret and everyone seems to have a motive. Each chapter is told from a different character’s POV (the single mom, the art teacher, the chef, the ranger…etc)
This book was big little lies meets real housewives-ish and it was a lot of fun to read. I also enjoyed the twists (one of which I didn’t see coming at all!)

Just finished It’s Not Her. I feel like this one is a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️
There wasn’t a lot of character development and the twist was a little unbelievable, but it kept my attention long enough to finish

Just finished listening to View from The East Wing by @drbiden on @librofm
I enjoyed the anecdotes the former First Lady tells throughout this book, including some fun insights into White House life and meetings with world leaders. There was nothing earth shattering about this book, but it was a good listen while doing errands etc
My favorite parts were when she talked about Delaware, since I spent 10 years of my life living and teaching there
I prefer listening to non fiction vs reading a physical copy because it holds my attention more and the libro.fm platform allows you to connect to an independent bookstore to support with your purchase. Just finished Love You More by @emilygiffinauthor
This book is a perfect summer romance to add to your TBR
If you like Sweet Home Alabama, you will love this book. I loved all of the characters and the theme of different types of love (romantic, family, friendship)

Just read Upward Bound by Woody Brown and it was fantastic. This book takes place at a day program for special needs adults, some of whom are non verbal (like the author)
Many of you know I was a special education teacher for 17!years, with 2 of those years being spent in a classroom of non verbal students. While I loved the kids and the job, the physical demands of having 9 non verbal students became too much for me and I went back to a more traditional setting. My short time in this program taught me so much and I learned immensely important lessons from my students. This book reminded me of many of them and had me wondering how they are all doing now.
