Life’s been a little different lately.

Looking for the next opportunity means I suddenly have a lot more free time than I’m used to. Trying to use it to slow down, keep creating, learn some new things, and figure out what’s next.

My final piece for Create with Clint’s Community Challenge #13: Gauntlet of Gods!

Had a blast bringing this weird little jungle guardian to life, on my spare time. From concept to modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, and the final presentation, this one was a fun challenge from start to finish.

Wish I could have had put more time into polishing out the renders but overall had a good time putting this together!

Years ago I drew this little robot as a simple 2D sketch and animation.
This week I finally brought him to life in Blender.

Modeled, textured, lit, and added a bit of sound design to give the moment some feeling. Always fun revisiting old ideas and seeing them evolve.

Trying different things I wanted to experiment with a 2.5D style character!
This was rendered in Eevee and then pushed a bit further in compositing to add some extra vibe.
I also did a small pass of sound design to give it more life. Trying to keep things simple but expressive.

Still a lot to polish, textures, lighting, and storytelling touches but I’m really happy with how it’s coming together so far. Slowly turning a simple idea into a full little world.

Messing around with Geometry Nodes last night and pushing my PC to its limits 😂

My computer can’t handle super heavy renders right now, so I’m learning how to keep things lighter and smarter. Geometry Nodes are simple in theory… but getting the exact look you want? That’s the real challenge.

Still, I walked away learning something new. And that’s always a win.

For a while I kept creating… but not sharing.
Overthinking. Waiting for it to be “better.” Waiting for the right time.
