A stunning introduction to a cozy mystery series!
What makes this book such a standout is how perfectly it balances suspense with comfort. It keeps you guessing from start to finish without relying on exhausting, high-stakes adrenaline. Instead, it invites you into a beautifully crafted world.
The author’s descriptive prose is incredible the way it is written, you feel like you are standing right in the middle of the scene, practically breathing in the crisp highland air! It’s the perfect read for anyone who wants a compelling mystery, but also craves a book that transports them across the globe without ever having to leave the comfort of their sofa. Highly recommended!

Featuring a delightfully misguided main character who gives her all to every plot and scheme, even if we know from book one exactly how that usually ends, this sequel is an absolute blast. The cast is a wonderful collection of misfits and quirky personalities that keep the energy high and the dialogue sharp.

By the end, the story takes you on such a wild ride that you’re left wondering what on earth just happened. As the second installment in the series, I am thrilled to report it avoids the “dreaded second book syndrome” entirely. Brennan truly knows how to craft a cliffhanger that makes you want to scream! #books #bookstagram #reading #edits #sarahreesbrennan @sarahreesbrennan by @mii.chelles

Cozy with a touch of mystery, this book pulls you in from the very first page. Graham truly brings the small town to life; you feel as though you are walking its streets and getting to know its charming inhabitants. Staying true to her signature style, Graham delivers a heartfelt community and characters you can’t help but love. It is the perfect escape for those seeking a low-stakes, immersive read.#books #bookstagram #reading #edits #harpergraham by @mii.chelles

Chainani definitely stepped out of his fantasy comfort zone with this one. It’s more of a political thriller than a mystery, centered on a fascinating ‘what if’ scenario where the youth take charge. While the dialogue occasionally misses the mark, it captures a specific modern energy that will likely resonate with its target audience. I loved the journal-style format; the inclusion of art breaks up the pace nicely and emphasizes Benson’s flaws and inexperience. It’s a quick, solid read for anyone looking to dip their toes into the thriller genre.#somanchainani #books #bookstagram #reading #edits by @mii.chelles

I didn’t know this was the third in a series, i love when a book can be read as a standalone without committing to a series.

This was quirky and pretty unique, it reminded me of the Movie Back in Action, which i loved!
The characters are well built and show that normal day to day life doesn’t stop even for “hobbies”
I would describe it as a Gritty Cozy novel, although not very violent overall we are still talking about serial killers. A quick and fun read, great as a pallet cleanser between books.#books #bookstagram #reading #edits #edits by @mii.chelles

I was gifted an ARC of this book, and I honestly think I’m ready to pack my bags and move into this town! This is a fast-paced, small-town whodunnit that is so cozy you’ll want to crawl right into the pages.

The atmosphere at Honeybee’s is so warm and inviting; I didn’t just want the food, I wanted a permanent seat at one of their tables. The cast is filled with quirky characters that bring the story to life, led by a main character you can’t help but root for from page one.

It’s the perfect blend of humor, suspense, and heart. It kept me guessing until the very end without ever raising my blood pressure. If you need a mystery that feels like a vacation, this is it! #bookstagram #books #edits #skylarwarren #reading @bookouture by @mii.chelles

Jenni has done it again. After Boys with Sharp Teeth landed firmly in my Top 5 reads of 2025, I wasn’t sure how she could top it—but she absolutely has. I was honored to be part of the cover reveal team for this beauty, and after being gifted an ARC, I can safely say: Clear your schedule. I started this book and didn’t look up until I realized it was 4:00 AM.

At its core, this is a haunting exploration of a singular question: How far will you go for those you love? What begins as a desperate deal with a devil turns into a messy, high-stakes spiral that will leave you breathless.

Jenni’s greatest strength is her character work. She writes people in a way that makes you desperate to know them, even when they scare you. The narrative is as dark and twisted as it is hopeful, creating a tension that pulls you in and refuses to let go. And just when you think you’ve figured out the trajectory of the story—think again.

Be prepared to be left gasping. Jenni crafts endings that leave your imagination running wild and your heart thirsting for more. You might just lose your heart to this story, but trust me, it’s worth it. #books #bookstagram #reading #jennihowell #edits by @mii.chelles
