When little bird flew away, I sailed.

This is a story of little bird, girl and a boat
It’s about searching comfort in the traces of the feathers, I still look for everywhere I go.

Moving between documentation and illusion.
The work combines photographs, drawings, nippets of the fairytale and video work where i make my passage through something that cannot be fixed.

Reidar is someone I have admired since I first walked that gravelly road to Särestö to see his paintings when I was little.

I feel honoured to showcase my works there, with ongoing exploritation of safety and sense of comfort found in nature, and the question of what happens when even that refuge is taken away.

Olen ihaillut Reidaria siitä lähtien, kun lapsena kuljin ensimmäisen kerran soraista tietä pitkin Särestöön katsomaan hänen maalauksiaan.

On kunnia saada esitellä teoksiani samaisessa maisemassa missä hän työskenteli. Teoksissa yhdistyvät luonnosta etsitty lohtu ja turva sekä kysymys siitä, mitä tapahtuu, kun nekin kaadetaan?
