“We studied and we fought and we killed for the notion of a nation we now get to build.”

This Fourth of July I have taken a lot of time to reflect on the state of our nation…there is so much potential, a nation of people who love, who laugh, who cry. Somewhere along the way we forgot to be human. To stop take a moment to see what’s going around us, to realize that others have just as interesting and complicated lives as we do. We have become so independent from community, from values and the ability to form our own opinions. We are headed in a very lonely and horrifying direction. A place where one can go days without food or shelter and another with more money than time on earth. We must stop talking about change and actually begin to be the change we want to see. There are more of us than there are of them. I encourage you to take a moment step back and really look at the state of the world…And change it. When the power of love beats the love of power the world will know peace ❤️ by @miichiilovesyou
