Celebrating A Decade of Performance Optimization by following us this week withšŸ”„10 Benefits of TestosteronešŸ”„

10. Testosterone Improves your Mindset ā˜€šŸ’

Many men struggle with mood disorders like depression, anxiousness, irritability, and mental fog. Low testosterone levels are often to blame. Testosterone therapy has been consistently shown to improve mood and issues related to depression. Amongst PRC patients, perhaps the most reported effect from therapy is clearer thinking and more focus, particularly on complex or difficult tasks.

We ask about mood and mindset on our intake forms and consistently patients report that they are calmer, more focused, and relaxed. These improvements help them take on the challenges of their day with confidence.

9. Testosterone Improves Erection Function šŸ‘ˆ

Testosterone can improve a patient’s sex drive AND testosterone can help men restore erectile function. Erectile dysfunction doesn’t necessarily mean that there’s an absence of erection, the patient may just lack the power and firmness once had in younger years. This decreased erection quality is commonly reported as well and thankfully commonly improved upon! There are testosterone receptors in the penis just like there are receptors in the brain. For this reason, testosterone is thought to govern the signals controlling blood flow during an erection. This leads to clues for why testosterone helps men with ED who failed with the full-dose treatment of sildenafil. Testosterone is critical for proper erectile function!

8. Testosterone Improves Sex Drive šŸ’•šŸ’

Perhaps the most common symptom of low testosterone is decreased libido or desire or drive to have sex. Testosterone replacement therapy works very well when it comes to restoring the sex drive of men with low testosterone.

There are receptors for testosterone to bind to in the brain influencing how we think and act, some effects are related to our sexual thoughts and behaviors! It’s common for our patients to report improvements in sex drive and sexual performance even if that was not a concern prior to starting therapy.

Too often drugs like Viagra are used to help men with sexual dysfunction and often low testosterone is the culprit. Struggling to get in the mood for sex? You may need testosterone therapy!

Watching Wade and Winx bond is one of the most enjoyable parts of my life. I think Winx loves ice cream as much or more than Wade.

šŸ¦šŸ‘‰What do you guys think?

Happy FRIDAY!

I’ve mentioned before that aerobic/cardiovascular exercise has not been a primary focus for me. Honestly, it was only previously deployed when leaning out for a competition. (thus the contest throwback pic).

As I’ve entered my mid-thirties and spend more time with my 5-year-old son, longevity is on my mind…

Training causes adaptations… These adaptations are specific to the imposed demand. Our bodies adapt to better meet the training demands placed on it. Weight training increases blood pressure and can lead to cardiac adaptations called CONCENTRIC hypertrophy, the walls of the heart become thicker, which reduces the amount of blood that heart can pump out with each beat. Less blood being pumped out means less oxygen delivery to working muscles, less deoxygenated blood back to the lungs, and less nutrient transport. So what do we do?

Cardiac output training. Training causes adaptations… These adaptations are specific to the imposed demand…This type of training is the lower intensity aerobic training that keeps the heart rate between 130-150 beats per minute sustained for 30 minutes (at least).

Longer duration slower training increases the volume of blood pumped out of the heart with each beat. The heart adapts to the training, stretching the chamber from the blood (like a balloon filling with water) leaving you with a larger left ventricle cavity capable of pumping out more blood with each beat. This is ECCENTRIC cardiac hypertrophy. An adaptation opposite of the adaptations my heart would have made for the better part of 20 years based on the training styles deployed.

The two peptides CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin are often used in conjunction for better results. Known individually as CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin, these peptides have similar roles, which we will look at later. But for now, the CJC 1295 and Ipamorelin combination is chiefly used together because the production of growth hormone secretion is 10 times more effective than using them individually.

Ipamorelin is a growth hormone-releasing peptide (GHRP). This peptide can be used as a monotherapy or combined with CJC1295. GHRP’s are similar to the circulating hormone ghrelin. Ipamorelin binds to growth hormone secretagogue receptors (GHS-R) causing the release of your naturally produced growth hormone. For those interested in fat loss, improved sleep, improved recovery and skin elasticity, and probable improvement to cell health, ipamorelin monotherapy is a great option.

CJC1295 is an analog of the body’s growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). GHRH is the hormone released by the hypothalamus that signals to your pituitary to release growth hormone in your body naturally. CJC1295 mimics this process! We combine CJC1295 with Ipamorelin, as ipamorelin inhibits somatostatin, which can prevent CJC1295 from working. Together these peptides work with the body to create a more robust growth hormone release.

This peptide combination can enhance all of ipamorelin’s effects and CJC1295 seems to aid more in improving protein synthesis and preventing of breakdown of proteins for energy which may help patients add more muscle mass.

7. Testosterone Can Improve Drive šŸƒā¤

Drive is defined as an innate, biologically determined urge to attain a goal or satisfy a need. I hear ā€œI just don’t have the drive, I used toā€ nearly every single week of the year speaking to prospective patients.

For men, low testosterone can absolutely lower the urge to pursue our personal goals, and this can 100% bleed over into our careers and relationships. How many of us have found ourselves going through the motions and just meeting standards and failing to meet our own (e.g. failed fitness or health goal)?

We have helped bring back the drive our patients once had by optimizing their testosterone with TRT. High normal testosterone can help improve your focus, reaction time, and recovery which has given many of our patients the confidence to attack their life challenges, improve work performance, and exercise desire leading to better health and wellness.

Think about a time you accomplished a big goal in your life, be it graduating from college, getting a six-pack, benching 315lbs, helping a new client, or making a large sale. Perhaps the goal is simply to have the energy to keep up with our kids at the end of a long workday and provide intentional attention to them!

Achieving goals feels good! If you lack the drive and desire to go after them it can negatively affect the way you feel, and low testosterone can often contribute to this increased apathy. Low blood levels of testosterone with the presence of symptoms can be remedied with TRT.

Get your drive back! Get tested, talk to PRC. Let us help you find the program that helps you restore your drive to help accomplish your health and wellness goals!

Aerobic exercise hasn’t ever been something that I was super excited about, I would much rather lift weights! I’ve found that I enjoy cardio exponentially more when I walk/jog with my dog.

Her happy face and those floppy ears make it fun. I know she’s having fun, it’s good for her health and it's aiding my goals as well. I’m doing more cardio now than ever for general health.

With the weather changes, get outside and enjoy the sunshine and if you have a doggo take them with you, they will enjoy it with you!

⭐BPC-157 is one of my favorite peptides!

It’s been so helpful for the PRC patients. Quicker recoveries from acute muscle injuries, effective treatment for tendonitis, and has improved surgical recovery times.

BPC-157 is an amino acid sequence that was derived from human gastric juice. It’s fantastic to be able to offer a naturally occurring peptide to assist patients with their health and wellness goals.

6. Testosterone Improves Cognition šŸ¤”

It’s not uncommon for older men to have mild cognitive issues AND have low testosterone. If you’re interested in preserving your memory as you age, maintaining optimal testosterone via TRT is a great preventative measure. Testosterone therapy has been shown to improve memory for men as they age. Interestingly, researchers at the University of Southern California found that increasing testosterone levels stalled the development of Alzheimer’s disease.

Maintaining healthy testosterone levels could be one way to prevent Alzheimer’s disease.

As we age our mental faculties or ability to think clearly are often a concern. While some things are outside of our control, low testosterone is avoidable through proper treatment.

For men, maintaining optimal levels of testosterone is one proactive step they can take to preserve their memory and avoid cognitive decline.
