Built up to a heavy complex today, even though I didn’t get the power on the last one, we were right there. Got super pumped because I thought I hit it but we didn’t. My snatches have been feeling really good. I’ve been progressing crazy on my snatches. This was a huge weak point for me, last year my power snatch was around 215 and full snatch was around 235-240 so to be hitting these numbers in a complex is amazing progress. Can’t wait to see what we snatch next for a 1RM. @tommy_pomatico 🙌🏼🙌🏼 has been a genius in this, we’re not even close but so much progress has been made. 🫡#crossfit #champion #chasethedream #progress #changethestandard by @mike_scanc

Competing or not God gave you this body, you should be doing something difficult every single day. For the body and the mind. “Go with the safe job” I had heard Jim Carrey speak about his father not going after his dream of becoming a great comedian because he didn’t think it was possible for him and instead he got a safe job as an accountant. When Jim was 12 years old his father was let go from that safe job leaving his family to do whatever they could to survive. A lesson for Jim as he grew older that you can still fail at doing what you don’t want to do, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love. Delayed Gratification-Choosing what I want most over what I want now. I would absolutely love to compete right now, but I know what I am doing now is going to blow up my future so I’m just fine waiting for it. Having this vision in my head gives me peace of what I am currently doing for what it will become in the future.
