This past weekend, I got to play the music of Miles Davis and John Coltrane with some of the greatest living musicians in the world! We played “Kind of Blue” (1959), from top to bottom. Such a surreal experience, that’s THE record I grew up listening to! Thank you Dave Ross at @thejazzsalon for putting this together, to @terellstafford @tomscottjazzman @tamirhendelman and @mikegurrola for making it feel so good, and to my parents @sabatellicarelli and @gcsings for being there to support me! I love my job! 🫶🏼🎶 • #livemusic #losangeles #jazz #kindofblue #grateful by @mikegurrola

RIP to the great Ken Peplowski. I was lucky enough to get a number of opportunities to play with him over the past 10+ years and it was always a masterclass in melody, soul, professionalism, and humor. I’ll cherish the lessons and memories I have for the rest of my life. Thank you, maestro, and rest well. #kenpeplowski #restinpeace by @mikegurrola
