Chicago Fashion Week...

It was an absolutely fabulous takeover of the iconic Union Station for a night celebrating creativity and expression. This was my first fashion week and I was inspired by the dedication of the designers, models and everyone involved.

Congrats to my amazing friend @feliciaboltontv to on being a wonderful host! taken in Chicago, Illinois by @mikehernandezct

Fluency doesn’t require a plane ticket.

I started learning French my freshman year of high school, took just three years of classes, and eventually taught myself enough to take the AP French exam.

I’ve never lived in France, studied abroad, or spent an extended period of time in a French-speaking country. Yet, years later, I found myself interviewing for a position with the Government of Québec… mostly in French. 🇨🇦

The biggest lesson? You don’t have to move abroad to immerse yourself in a language. You can create that immersion wherever you are.

It was a pleasure attending the 250th Anniversary of the Phi Beta Kappa Society's (@phibetakappasociety) celebration in Chicago! We are incredibly inspired by the evening's keynote speaker: Dr. Carla Hayden, who served as the 14th Librarian of Congress and currently a senior fellow at the Mellow Foundation! We are also inspired by the commitment for free expression from librarians, scholars, and civic-minded Americans. taken in Chicago Cultural Center by @mikehernandezct
