Dad passed peacefully in mid-November, 9 days after reaching 91 years of age. I'm grateful for so many things, but mainly that I got to by his side for the last 10 years right to his last breath. He's sorely missed. Waited to get through December and we're holding a small memorial and service for him this Monday 1/19 at 11am. Emmanuel Episcopal in Webster Groves. Any and all welcome. by @mikejimreed

Some are just simply better than others and I would rank this one right near the top.

I’ve learned so much while being gifted with the incredible cathartic journey of George Bailey every night. Beyond grateful for this unexpected and utterly delightful experience. Thank you @mx.kate_bergstrom for being a force of nature and inspiration this old actor needed. You are simply incredible. Thank you @sirdannywilliams and @becksredman for rallying the @repstl and keeping the dream alive with unblinking leadership at this pivotal point. Thank you old friends @ericdeanwhite , @neni_loves_coffee , @jerodav3 , @mofrissa and current and past @web.co students @dangit_te , @aria_eve_ , @jailyngenyse , @daisy.held , @tj.staten - for creating an ensemble of trust and heart which was committed, full of passion and incredible talent from day one.

A Wonderful Life it is truly and I’m grateful for every minute of this experience. And big thank you to incredible and amazing partner @j_lay75 for holding down the fort during a chaotic December and keeping me sane. So, this happened! Wanting Chicago reps for the longest time and since empty nest days arrived this fall, I finally started the search and ended up with my top choice. AND a few weeks in, booked first VO through them already. Excited to work with this amazing team. @stewarttalentchicago by @mikejimreed

Home for the weekend involved a photo journalism assignment apparently where old man casually (“act natural, Dad!”) cooking his daughter her favorite dinner was the subject. Cauliflower bolognese via @halfbakedharvest never fails to do the trick (all credit to @j_lay75 who brought this deliciousness into our home).

Final couple of weeks before this one heads to college. In honor of such I’m rolling out a menu of the childhood classics she loved and I love making for her, with spaghetti being requested first. We’re also cuddling and kissing the dogs a lot. My stomach is filled with joy and a hint of sorrow this past week as August 16th inches closer. Mostly joy but wow, this parenting milestone ain’t one to mess around with. by @mikejimreed

Despite Lt Shrank’s best efforts, this story ends tragically every night. One last attempt tonight to keep the peace but alas, I fear it’s a lost cause. Happy closing to a truly beautiful cast, crew and production of my favorite musical. Very grateful to have been a part of it and as always getting a chance to play @themuny #closingnight #westsidestory taken in The Muny by @mikejimreed
