SECURITY BAR WINDOW COLLABORATION.

Working with @mikemdstv on translating one of his illustrations into a functional architectural security bar window.

I’ve always admired his illustration work and wild cartoons, and I’m excited to explore what that visual language looks like translated into steel.

Taking the lines of the original artwork and figuring out what becomes 1/2" round bar, what becomes 3/8", how everything connects, and how an illustration can become a functional piece of architectural metalwork.

Concept rendering shown here. Next step: steel.

Drawn by @mikemdstv.
Translated into steel by @steve_campos.

Can’t wait to start bending, cutting, welding, and putting this thing together.

More to come.
