Heartbroken to wake to the news of the passing of Glen Hansard. He was my songwriting hero, a kind and generous human and a musical giant. We only met a couple times, but he was always so kind to let me blubber on to him about how his music got me through some really dark times in my life. I didn’t know him well, but we all felt so close to him spending a small amount of time with him. He was that to a lot of people.

Can’t believe it’s been 20 years since this song came out. It’s meant so much to me over the years. I believe it’s one of the best songs ever written. Eternally grateful that I was able to experience this last night while in London. Thanks @annagriffinc!! cc: @raylamontagne

I had an epic trip to London last week to see some of the @oasis reunion shows happen. I don’t do many things like this for myself, but this was a non-negotiable for me. @xmattpikex and I saw the band in 2000 at Radio City and I haven’t seen them since. I felt it was only fitting to watch their epic return with Matt, so we did it!

This adventure wouldn’t have been the same without him and so many other friends, including @zachmerck @amandamerck @seemiller21 @breadman73_nxvi_528 @robxm @all__night__chemist @iamabbyp @andrea_a_pike @iamcalebpike @nieshvanterpool @michaeldubin @jjjjonas @rosiejmc @amepearce @stupaice @kamranjhaq @danielpcarter @imatinygiant @yours.truly.dca @shawndbarber @eyeful_leila @jasonwelsher @melissa_pack_welsher @travisjohnreilly @tarastarreilly.

A special thank you to @seemiller21 @kamranjhaq and @stupaice for their friendship and absolutely wizardry in making the shows very special for Matt and me. We can never repay you, but hope to try!!

Lastly, thank you to @michellecope3 for putting up with my absolute obsession with this band. You’re a patient saint, thank you ❤️ taken in Wembley Park by @mikepoorman

Easily one of the best nights of my life with my best friend of 34 years, @xmattpikex. It was more than I could have imagined. Thanks to @kamranjhaq @breadman73_nxvi_528 and @stupaice for being aces. Love you lads ❤️ by @mikepoorman
