So my boy birky tells me “come Dubai for my 30th bro it will be sick” I’m like “I don’t know g, I’m going wrestlemania beginning of April it’s a bit mad” he’s like “don’t be a Jezebel, we’re gonna go skydiving and we can hold hands as we spiral through the sky like chocolate bar wrappers floating down ways from an updraft. From that moment I’m sold! Cause all I can think about is the sky diving scene from the mighty morphin powers movie when they all jump from a plane with red hot chilli peppers higher ground playing in the background (elite movie if you know you know, your a real one and I love you) so I get to Dubai and it’s lit. Grey Goose and Belverde Vodka has become part of my blood stream, plates are getting smashed over head tops like it’s prime ECW(a man even made @hann_roberts bleed a crimson mask with a plate smash it was wavey) I got to dance with midgets & Indian geezers who tried to get discounts from escorts for a beat cause as they said “we Indian, we do little damage so we should get a discount” 🤣🤣 (creasing). Flying around like the green goblin crashing into the Empire State Building after Spider-Man foiled another one of my plans was bare fun. However…there was only one negative from this trip. And that was bossman. Bossman who ruined my dream of flying over the five jumeirah like the mighty morphin power rangers because as he said and I’m paraphrasing here ‘sir you are too fat to sky dive’ 😞 I begged him a tad and even tried to lose 8kg of fat in an hour and it wasn’t enough. My dream was scuppered 😢. So I downed some vodka to get over my sorrow, ate some wagyu beef and did a little skank to Peggy gou and I realise that I wasn’t fat I’m just big boned 😏😂 Dubai was fun happy birthday @birky2.0

3 years ago @renzwiththelenz threw me a surprise Bday BBQ in our family garden. All my mates dressed in wrestling gear (yes even @kudzmasv 🤣), & threw a wrestling PPV & my brother named it MIKE O MANIA!

A year later I was going through a rough time & people were begging for another one. In true Mike fashion I said FUCK IT! Tried to hire a wrestling ring but every promotion basically told me to fuck off because they didn’t know who I was 😂

So being a bit of an engineer, me & my brother BUILT one ourselves! BBQ, bare drinks, wrestling… Mike O Mania II was born.

The next year we went again. My boys chef’d up, mates brought DJ decks & the “FINAL” Mike O Mania had 80–100 people in my mum’s garden. Then I threw the ring away & swore NEVER again… mainly because my mum banned me 🤣

This year there was no Mike O Mania on my birthday because I was supporting the mighty Bosnia 🇧🇦 at the World Cup.

Then at 4am in San Francisco, waved out my mind, walking by 100s of fentanyl zombies I thought…

“I could do Mike O Mania again you know… but what if I made it a FESTIVAL?”

So I gave myself 6 WEEKS.

Venue, DJs, food, drinks, lighting, security, insurance, risk assessments, suppliers, marketing, pro wrestlers… & 100s of other shit I’d NEVER done before. I went on 3 podcasts, ran across 6 busy motorways putting posters up 😂 & even started wrestling training because wrestling is an ART FORM & I wanted the matches to be LIT.

All to answer one question…

Could Mike O Mania actually become a festival?

On September 27th, around 300 PEOPLE, most of whom aren’t even wrestling fans, pulled up to a SECRET LOCATION to watch wrestling & PARTY (& sesh 👀)

For the first time I can wholeheartedly say…

This isn’t the end of Mike O Mania.

This might just be the beginning. ❤️
