If you haven’t checked it out yet, head over to @softspokenmusic’s page and check out the new song “Omni”. I had an absolute blast working on this one with these boys. The first batch of sessions they had brought some songs they started with @yosh_sstp and wanted to get them across the finish line. I drove out to Kentucky/Ohio to work with them at their awesome space. Several months later I had the honor of working with them right here out of my studio at @freeportcollective. Really excited for them to start rolling these tracks out. Truly an amazing group of dudes and super talented. P.S @samspoken is one of the best vocalists out there. 🫡 shoutout @firerosestudios for the sick edit! by @mikeycanoy

Vocal editing clicks and pops using izotope RX spectral editor in pro tools. There is a vocal with a loud mouth click, and we remove it using RX spectral editor in Pro Tools. Highlight the affected area and toggle gain mode, then reduce the gain and click process. VOILA! Magic Baby. #mixingengineer #vocalediting #musicproduction #producer by @mikeycanoy

How do you take a post-session group photo when your drummer is in LA and the rest of your band is in VA? 🤔 I thinkkkk we figured it out. 😂

Happy Friday TABU fam! 🙌🏼 moonRISE has now been out in the world for about a week! Thanks so much for all of the love so far! We tried a ton of new things on this one and it resulted in our first spicy vampire-core/dark romance type TABU song! 🧛🏻‍♂️🌶️🌒 If you’ve heard it, what did you think? 🤔

Adding counter melody to a great chorus using clean guitars. Shout out to @purextcmusic for letting me use this for some content. 🫡💯 #producer #musicproduction #mixingengineer #songwriting #producergrind by @mikeycanoy
