On August 31st we lost our oldest son.
A lot of you have asked how to help. Most times in the moment we really don’t know what we need other than our son back, going to school, fishing, hanging with his buddies and working at Wendy’s.
However life moves on and as we figure out how to navigate life again, we have suggested people donate or share our gofundme link. That link is in my bio.

scissors or clippers? most people have no idea there’s a difference.
here’s the deal. clippers give you that fresh, crisp, just-cut look. scissors give you a softer finish that grows out nice and stays looking good longer.
both are great. it just comes down to what you like. do you want it sharp and fresh? or soft and easy? not sure? cool — then i get to have fun and use all scissors.
this one was a short textured mullet, all scissor over comb, point cut on top for a soft blend. clean but not stiff.

five years in Nashville and somehow my hair resume includes a tank, Reba, and telling the guitarist of Lit that his band reminds me of Star Wars and Taco Bell.

he said “...what.” i stand by it.

but this one isn’t really about the random famous stuff. it’s about this city, the people in it, and everything Nashville taught me about hair, about myself, and about the fact that fake nice still beats rude every single time.

we’re leaving tomorrow. the pod was picked up in a few days ago. once we’re settled i’ll be back to cut hair once in a while you’re not rid of me that easy.

to everyone who showed up for my family when things got heavy: we genuinely would not have made it to today without you. thank you. i mean that.

i’ll miss it here. but this southern belle will be back. 🤠

we’re moving across the country soon “soon” is doing a lot of work in that sentence because i genuinely couldn’t tell you if it’s three weeks or five. but until a truck physically removes me from this state, i’m still behind the chair at Local Honey in East Nashville.
