Moments from 04/08/26

Just us, a quiet room, a promise, and two I Do’s.

Happy we got to have this moment to ourselves before sharing with our loved ones.

Before the dress.
Before the flowers.
Before we celebrated surrounded by everyone we love…

There was April 8, 2026.

The day we quietly became husband and wife.

Just us, our love, and the beginning of forever.

We knew our big celebration was coming, but there was something so special about having this moment first. Something intimate. Something that belonged to us before we shared our marriage with the world.

And now that we’ve had our beautiful wedding, it only feels right to share the chapter that came before it.

The first “I do.”
The first day I became Mrs. Austin.
The day I married my best friend.

04.08.26 🖤

The Austins — Chapter One.

The 517 Juneteenth Weekend was like that✍🏾.

Always love shutting down my favorite neighborhood with my friends. 🙂‍↕️

—

We’re back at it on July 4th for A Night at the Soul Lounge: Riverfront Market & Bash

From 3PM-8PM, @ourspace517 x @00.wakeupcall.00 will be shutting down the downtown riverfront (outside of @lansing_shuffle) for a vintage market experience. Come shop, check out the DJ sets, and grab some food.

From 9PM - 2AM, catch us for @soullounge517 in collaboration with Lionheart Ent, featuring a live performance by myself and band at 10PM. One ticket gives you access to three stages, with DJ sets by:
@iamdjenyce
@kaels.om
@illwill734
@dj_norde
@djmyrical1

Tickets available in @soullounge517 bio, and at soullounge517.com

The 6th Annual 517 Juneteenth Weekend is officially a wrap. ❤️

In 2021, I started @ourspace517 to activate spaces throughout our community where we could come together as our full, authentic selves, celebrate and elevate culture, support local businesses, and build stages that myself and other artists could stand on.

Six years later, the festival continues to grow, our work as a nonprofit continues to expand, and the impact speaks for itself.

Seeing Black joy. People dancing in the streets. Businesses selling out. Families and generations coming together in celebration.

I’m full of gratitude and cannot thank my hometown enough for showing up and showing out over the past four days.

I’m also thankful for my team and all of the hard work, late nights, and early mornings that made this weekend possible.

And thank you to @jamilawoods for making the trip from Chicago to the Capital City and sharing your gift with us. We can’t wait to welcome you back. ❤️

HAPPY JUNETEENTH ❤️🖤💚

Im so grateful to celebrate my favorite holiday, with my favorite people, doing what I love to do the most.

The 6th Annual @517juneteenth festival is tomorrow in REO Town, Lansing, and I’ll be performing with my band at 7:30. Also performing:
@jamilawoods
@whosjmt

And so many other incredible artists.

We have 100 vendors lined up S. Washington Ave, our Kidz zone, food court, informational booths, and much more! Best part is that it’s completely free!

Special thanks to @wilxstudio10, @wilxstudio10, and my friend @mybellerachelle for the incredible story🌞 taken in Lansing, Michigan by @mikeyyaustin
