Figured it's time for a reintroduction post since @raym.jones took new headshots for me :)) hi!! I’m Mikky, you can also call me Moxy & I use they/them pronouns. I’m a hairstylist located in Atlanta, GA & *hateeee* being niched down—I like doing vivid bold colors in hair but I also love a subtle balayage. I do lots & lots of curly, coily & wavy hair but I also love blowouts & glam waves & long ass extensions. Shaggy, messy razor cuts? Yes please. Blunt, perfectly precise bobs? YUM. I guess if I had to pick I’d say I specialize in natural & alternative hair :). My goal behind the chair is to provide a safe space for people who haven’t traditionally had great experiences at the hairdresser—folks who sometimes need sensory accommodations, folks with curly & coily hair, folks looking for gender affirming services, people who want to feel edgy & can’t find anyone in their small town to cut a good shag. Clients who wanna talk about politics & the real things going on in the world and also maybe love island. Those are my people <3. I’ve been working in the salon world for about 4 years now & have been at @creature.atl for just about 2 years and I am so lucky to have a clientele that I feel like reflects who I am and why I joined the industry. I’m always accepting new clients & I’d love to have you in my chair :* by @mikkythemaker

There are so many ways to get the copper of ur dreams! For Dani, because of how bright we wanted it & her having some previous color on her ends we decided to do bleach the roots + ends & layered two shades of copper to get the final result. This was booked as a double process virgin, single process refresh & a blowout & took about 5.5 hours to complete :). I think the color fits her so well & we’re both so happy with the results!
PS—dont let the blowout fool you, her curls are still nice and bouncy & maintaining curl health is always a top priority in this house! :) by @mikkythemaker

My client clover and I looking absolutely sick with our spirals on our heads!! I’ve been loving playing with this pattern lately, I feel like we look like cuttlefish and I love those freaky little guys. I did clovers hair and Shoutout @mikkythemaker for always killing it and collaborating on this sick ass blue and green spiral with me!! ALS I cut all my hair off!! I got like 4 different haircuts in a week and then kept cutting shorted when I got home hehe.
