Mission Marrakech Marathon. It's almost been 10 years since my last marathon in Rotterdam. It's been more since my first in NYC.
With now many years of very active life style riding and still (trail) running in girona while giving a great experience in our @equipegirona Guesthouse doing another marathon was on the radar. Many things have changed from shoes to nutrition so I am also excited for the process.

With many marathons now expensive, a lottery for entry or during our busy times, @marrakechmarathon end of January was perfect. Shout out to @wilmavanonna and @helixruncrew @elinefroukje for the inspo though!

Girona also offers some excellent knowledge on sports so happy to be supported by @feliximbery and @science2sport for schedule and wisdom. Our neighbors @hlabcentre for strength, recovery and more knowledge. Great for a senior 51 year old runner. And needed to see if I can do a PR. Which is the goal.
Nutrition for sure will be @maurten_official (and some haribo etc) Now only find the right shoes for racing and training. And maybe some fresh run kit.

Back in NL

The Hague: Visit to my bro and his lovely girls 💜
Rotterdam : always in the heart. Art, good food and evening visit to my bestie @nielsvdzwan plus fam and @patrick_van_der_graaff
Schiedam: little town but so nice. Good coffee easy vibes and great stay
Veluwe: top lunch and the beautiful marriage of our guests niels en gerlinde, And a morning run too with too early @jorisbrood visit
- with my folks plus nephew at dertien and coffee at @manmetbrilkoffie hotel
- Lunch with maurice and thea. So grateful for hosting us and even providing early morning ride to airport, bookstore etc!

Last year tomas and I rode up turo d'home. A big climb here in the region..And we still had some snow. It was a memorable girona ride.

Think we look back at 2016..
Quite a year.
Got my first roadbike, ran @berlinmarathon, @pattarunningteam rdam started, my dad got his @porsche gt4, me and my bro raced endurance with the clio. We had fluffy rabbits. And much much more. Pretty cool year then. taken in Equipe Guesthouse Girona by @mikmx55
