Tomorrow, I will walk across the stage, carrying far more than a degree. I’ll be carrying memories, lessons, and a legacy that has shaped me in ways I’ll forever be grateful for. Southern University has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember , long before I became a student, I was raised on its history, its pride, and its purpose. My time at Southern taught me more than what could ever be learned in a classroom. I learned the value of culture, community, and leadership, and I grew into a woman who understands the importance of honoring where she comes from while confidently walking in her own purpose. Southern strengthened my confidence, sharpened my voice, and reminded me of the power in being rooted and intentional. As I close this chapter, I do so with gratitude, pride, and a heart full of memories that will last a lifetime. Southern will always be home, always family, and always a part of me. My journey to becoming a Fabulous Dancing Doll unfolded entirely in God’s timing. Before transferring to Southern University, I walked through a season of uncertainty, unsure of where my college journey was leading. Even in moments of doubt, God was quietly aligning my steps, and with time, what once felt unclear began to make sense, and my vision sharpened as I realized that the goals ahead of me had already been written long before I could see them.

Becoming a Fabulous Dancing Doll had been a dream of mine since childhood, and I always struggled with the idea of not pursuing it sooner. Growth taught me that God’s timing is never late. Every pause and redirection prepared me for exactly where I stand today. This journey has been nothing short of amazing. Through Dolls, doors opened I never imagined, and I found myself in rooms I only once dreamed of entering. More than shaping me as a dancer, this experience shaped me as a woman,instilling discipline, confidence, resilience, and respect for the history and legacy I was honored to represent.

To Mrs. Traci, Ms. DT, and Dr. Taylor—thank you for believing in me, trusting my passion, and pushing me beyond my comfort zone. Your guidance has left a lasting impact on my journey.

To my Forever Dolls sisters—Thank you for carrying me when I didn’t have the strength, and pushing to be a better version of myself daily. Your love, support, and sisterhood mean more to me than words can express.

I hope you all enjoyed your trip to Milan😉. Thank you for boarding this journey with me, for riding every step, and for believing in the destination even when the route wasn’t always clear. I am Forever thankful!

I am deeply grateful to be a part of the Beta Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. A sisterhood that has impacted me in ways I never could have anticipated. Joining this sisterhood has taught me so much about myself , my capacity to grow, to lead with confidence, and to move with purpose and grace. It has instilled in me the value of service, discipline, and commitment, while shaping how I show up in my personal life and in every space I enter. I am especially thankful for my 84 sisters, who have become an essential part of my life through shared experiences, genuine connections, and constant encouragement, I am forever thankful. Each of you have contributed to my growth and left a meaningful imprint on my heart. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. has truly changed my life, and I am forever thankful to God for entrusting me with this sisterhood and allowing me to be a part of its enduring legacy.

When I began this journey, I didn’t know exactly where I wanted to land professionally. I only knew I wanted to be in a field that challenged my thinking and allowed me to blend creativity and strategy with intention. Over time, I realized how naturally Marketing aligned with the way I see the world. What began as uncertainty became a true passion and the foundation of the career path I now feel confident pursuing.

As December 19th approaches, I’ve been reflecting on how deeply this experience has shaped me. This accomplishment represents more than academic progress, it reflects the confidence I built, the discipline I strengthened, and the personal transformation that unfolded along the way. I’m moving forward with purpose, clarity, and a readiness to embrace every opportunity aligned with the woman I’ve become.

T.T. Allain played a meaningful role in that transformation. It’s where relationships were formed, growth was required, and lessons, both academic and personal, left a lasting imprint.

Year 2….

My second season as a Fabulous Dancing Doll has been nothing short of amazing! This season was all about growth, pushing myself beyond my limits, and truly living in the moment. I embraced every step, every performance, and every opportunity that came my way, handling it with class, grace, and passion.

In just two weeks, I’ve had the privilege of experiencing things I never imagined I would in a lifetime, from The Jennifer Hudson Show, to National Battle of the Bands, Night Cap, and the Super Bowl. These incredible moments have shown me just how far my journey has come, and I’m humbled by the doors God has opened. His blessings continue to surpass my expectations, and for that, I am beyond grateful.
