They say save the best for last, right?I’m proud to say this chapter is closing… but the story’s far from over. Prairie View A&M University, thank you for shaping me into the woman I am today. You gave me more than just an education. You gave me confidence, lifelong friendships, leadership, and a space to grow. You took in a city girl from Atlanta and showed her just how powerful her purpose could be. Texas, you’ve been good to me, but it’s time to move on. I’ll forever be grateful for every lesson, every challenge, and every blessing that came with this journey. With so much gratitude and excitement, I’m happy to share that I’ll be continuing my education at St. George’s University in Grenada to earn my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. This next chapter is the dream I prayed for, worked for, and waited for. To everyone who believed in me along the way, thank you. I’m also incredibly proud to be joining the 2.2% of Black veterinarians and continuing to break barriers in this field.PV, you’ll always be home.
