📖 I set a goal every month - learn one new piece of music (be it a movement or a concerto or a whole piece) and read at least one book.
BTW, this quota used to be my weekly quota, but life, responsibilities and general adult never ending to-do lists get in a way and stir things up a little. 🎉 🕺🏻

This is me learning the Clarke Sonata *properly*. I know it for so long and hearing it everywhere made me not being too keen to play it, but again - life - and things keep changing. 🥂 hooray for that! 🙌🏻 🥳

October is an exciting month! The summer was relentless with whopping 9 festivals and few other concerts and masterclasses along the way, it seems like it hasn’t been a single day without my viola.
October is not very different! Wonderful music with amazing people this month, I feel so lucky and grateful for being a part of it ❤️

Korfker VS a cheap Flip-flop? Which one sounds better?
The difference is only some €400. Is it worth it?

I found that my posture is better with the Korfker as well as the clearer sound I get with it, but I am somewhat freer with the flip-flop and, although it takes a bit of getting used to when shifting positions, particularly the higher up you get, I don’t hate it…
•
Flip-flop was crafted into a diy shoulder rest when my luggage was lost and I had to play concerts at a festival on an island (no music shop in sight).
•

Schumann died on this day 💔
He passed away shortly after his wife, Clara Schumann, was finally allowed to visit him.
At his own request, he entered a private sanatorium in Endenich near Bonn on March 4, 1854.
On February 27, 1854, after severe mental health decline, he jumped into the River Rhine and was saved by fishermen.

Schumann left us with marvels and music we come back to with new stories and inspiration, time and time again.
